Well, according to Coral, Blu-Ray and media is dead, no one cares. Everyone is streaming.

It would probably be too expensive for a boutique label like Shout to sell 4K UHD.

Seriously though how is Texas Chainsaw The Next Generation? I never saw it. Heard it’s a piece of shit.

If this inlcudes some great new extras, I'm in.

I'm confused... is 1080P a home video label? Is Shout re-releasing these with new transfers?

All mainstream Hollywood Blu-rays have 1080P video resolution.

It's the same story with basically every specialty label. Tons of these guys are doing 4K scans, but literally no one (Scream, Arrow, Synapse, Blue Underground, etc.) is putting 'em out on Ultra HD Blu-ray, at least not in the U.S. We're still just getting drips and drabs of catalog titles on UHD BD, and anything pre-'90s is barely represented at all. Even just looking at far more recent movies, there's very, very little horror on UHD BD.

I'm confident that things will change one day. I'm not sure it'll be anytime soon (although fingers crossed...!).
Yeah I feel ya on that. I heard Warner spent 1mil on the 4K Matrix transfer. Read that on another forum somewhere last night. If that's what it comes down to then I can understand. I'm just trying my best to avoid double dipping. For now I'll hold off for a year on some shout releases (unless they go down to dirt cheap prices on BD) until 4K.

Somehow I get the feeling that not many average movies will hit 4K for quite sometime.

Actually BD and media is dead, and Streaming is on it's way out. The newest tech is steaming.

I use 1080P to address regular blu-ray since 4K is also blu-ray but 4x greater than 1080P.

I don't know if I love that Valley Girl cover art or hate it.

Probably won't bother upgrading my old SE DVD I got at Big Lots for $3, though.

I know 1080p is the resolution... the way it was worded made it seem like it was something new and different, perhaps from a new European label or something, rather than a re-release with a new scan. After all, the old releases were in 1080p as well

The My Chauffeur cover has a similar theme to the new Valley Girl cover. Both Star Deborah Foreman..

City Slickers was just announced for a Shout Select release on their facebook page. It's coming out on September 11th. I wish they would have paired it with the sequel.

I’ll be grabbing City Slickers for sure! Hopefully the sequel isn’t far behind.

It’s as bad as you’ve heard. There’s really nothing redeeming about it. The only thing that makes it somewhat interesting is that it features early McConaughey and Zellweger performances.

The posters at blu-ray.com beg to differ. Apparently they all love it because of it's "clever underlying message." I guess I'm not smart enough to get the "message." All I remember seeing was a really bad movie.

Same here. Even the custom artwork is great this time around (Valley Girl's sucks).

Hopefully they keep Lovitz off the cover of the sequel.

It wouldn't make him any less in the movie.

I think there are some themes in it that were trying to be clever but the film doesn’t benefit from them or implement them very well.

I think I like it a lot. I'm unsure too.

I have that old DVD as well. If this goes cheap enough maybe I'll upgrade. I'll put my money towards this instead of the remake that has been shelved for the time being.

The point is I fear how bad he would end up looking on the cover. See below:

It's how bad Cage looks given his face is the most prominent thing on the cover. Twice! But looking back at that SE DVD that we all seem to have, and all the other DVD covers this movie has had over the years, I have to admit this new cover is sadly the best of the bunch.

Just noticed a few more Fall releases on the Shout site:

I did buy Exorcist III. But, I'm not sure about II. I last saw it on VHS about 20 years ago and I recall not liking very much.
