Well I decided to splurge since I didn't buy anything throughout the rest of the sale. Picked up:

Body Bags
Nightmares
The Sentinel
Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight
Tales From the Crypt: Bordello of Blood

I limited myself to the Troll double feature and Assault on Precinct 13 on the day Troll was on sale for $14.99. Troll did indeed come with the bonus disc in case anybody wonders if they still have them.

In the comments under Shout's Facebook announcement of these extras, Sean Clark posted that Carpenter was asked if he wanted to do a commentary, but he opted to sit for an interview instead. It is one of his lesser films, so it's not too surprising.

Maybe they're keeping with the horror/suspense genre?

Well they did torture him Princess Bride and basically made him a zombie. So yeah, maybe it is horror/suspense?

That's pretty common for a studio to pick through an actor's filmography for works in the same genre as the work being advertised.

Picked up the new Shout Factory BD of Species II

Yeah I know it's not really a good movie overall, but I enjoyed seeing a very young Natasha Henstridge.

Anyways, I noticed the version on the disc is 93 minutes, which was previously the "Unrated" edition on the DVD. The theatrical cut I recall was only 89 minutes. The disc says it's Rated R, so I'm guessing they got the MPAA to rate that one.

Lots of extras by the way and a new interview with Henstridge. Little expensive though for a movie from 1998. Paid $22.99 for it.

actually, I think the dvd had the extra "unrated" footage seperate from the film and shown looking like a workprint
