How did the 2015 “Collector’s Edition” Blu-ray compare to the 2010 Blu-ray? Audio seemed identical, but visuals offered a step backward. While the original Blu-ray had some issues with softness, it seemed better defined than the 2015 release, and it also was cleaner. Again, the 2015 disc didn’t look bad, but I thought the 2010 release offered superior visuals.

We are beyond thrilled today to report that we will be bringing the 1977 cult classic chiller THE SENTINEL to Blu-ray for the first time in the U.S. and Canada!

Planned release is for August. This often underrated, overlooked and shocking film from Director Michael Winner (Death Wish) has been highly-requested from fans over the years and is also a personal favorite for some of us here too.

Based on Jeffrey Konvitz's best-selling novel and featuring special make-up effects by Dick Smith (The Exorcist) the film sports an impressive number of well-known actors ever assembled together in horror film history including Chris Sarandon (Fright Night), Christina Raines (Nightmares, The Duelists) Christopher Walken (The Dead Zone), Ava Gardner (Earthquake, The Cassandra Crossing), Jeff Goldblum (The Fly), Jerry Orbach (Law & Order), Beverly D’ Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation), Sylvia Miles (The Funhouse), Burgess Meredith (Rocky, Burnt Offerings), Eli Wallach (The Magnificent Seven), Martin Balsam (Psycho), Tom Berenger (Major League), Jose Ferrer (The Caine Mutiny), John Carradine (The Howling, Shockwaves), Deborah Raffin (God Told Me To) and William Hickey (Tales From The Darkside: The Movie, Prizzi’s Honor).
