The poster/pre-order combo for Halloween III seems to be selling pretty quickly:

From Scream Factory's Facebook:

Anybody attending Fright Night Film Fest in Kentucky this weekend? If so, we have plenty of "Scream Factory" guests you'll want to check out...

- Catch MICHAEL FELSHER from Red Shirt Pictures on a Q&A panel this Sat. He and his team are the ones responsible for shooting many of the upcoming incredible extras that will be on our DVDs & Blu-rays for Halloween II, III, Terror Train, They Live and more!

- Writer/Horror Historian/Agent SEAN CLARK of "Horror's Hallowed Grounds". He's the guy who'll be revisiting the some of the original locations on Halloween II and III which will also be on our releases.
Nice to know Red Shirt are doing the extras, they're the best at that kind of thing. That's also cool about the Hallowed Grounds featurettes - I always enjoy reading those in Horror Hound.

I definitely prefer it to the new Arrow art (their commissioned covers are all garbage), but I still really like the drooling fangs from the US cover and...whatever the hell this is:

That said, I'm really digging the overall look of and effort put into the Scream Factory releases so far. Hopefully there will be more lined up after the first wave of nine or so.

These two should be no exception. The HIII episode in particular has some cool guests and bits in it.

Regarding Phantasm II, Cliff stated on Blu-ray.com that the original director's cut no longer exits.

I'd be pretty psyched about a Phantasm II workprint.... even if it was just a pack in exclusive or something.

As their schedule so far has been two titles a month, I'm assuming Phantasm II (though, as noted above, work hasn't begun) will be the other November disc, with Deadly Blessing and an as-yet unannounced title - Shocker? - arriving in December.

I think I know what the unannounced title is. If true, I'll be excited.

'They Live' now too? Good God, Shout Factory is pretty much solely responsible for restoring my interest in buying DVDs and blu-rays!

Extras on Terror Train and The Funhouse, from here:
Terror Train -

Commentary with Roger Spottiswoode
Still gallery
Theatrical trailer and TV spots
A limited edition - less than 500 copies made - 18" x 24" poster featuring newly commissioned Terror Train artwork if the Blu-ray is purchased at Shout Factory's website

The Funhouse -

Commentary with Tobe Hooper, hosted by director Tim Sullivan
Theatrical trailer
Radio and TV spots
A limited edition - less than 500 copies made - 18" x 24" poster featuring newly commissioned Funhouse artwork if the Blu-ray is purchased at Shout Factory's website

Note: Terror Train is a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack.

Both Terror Train and The Funhouse are expected to street on October 16th.
I likely won't double dip on Funhouse - no Berridge involvement is unsurprising but disappointing - but will definitely pick up Terror Train, one of the better slashers.

It looks like the extras for both aren't finalized, as 'and more to be announced' is listed among them on Shout's website. A couple of new featurettes might get me to eventually pony up for Funhouse.

Yeah, if more extras for The Funhouse aren't added, I'll probably pass, since Arrow's release is pretty stacked...

^^
Kinda surprised Carpenter isn't involved. He was a producer on the flick. And he did the music...

Clearly they didn't offer him enough money. Or, more likely, he was too busy playing video games and watching basketball to give a fuck.

He's certainly not too busy making movies.

In the video I just posted he says Carpenter said that since he wasn't a director on them he didn't feel comfortable being involved.
