Is it sad for me to take a "I'll believe it when I see it" approach on these? Too many Pixar delays already for me to believe it.

Surely though they'll try to get them out in time to tie in with Toy Story 3, don't you think? Although maybe they'll just do a Trilogy Boxset when the 3rd movie is released on Blu-Ray.

But TS3 is a June release, so there's 2.5 months of leeway here already. Still don't have Nemo :(

I can wait for the uber-blu-ray-box-set of all three Toy Stories, which you can bet your ass will be out within a year from now.

I wouldn't be surprised if the box set had the same discs for the first two movies and the regular new 3rd movie.

Here's the cover art that UltimateDisney.com posted:

Toy Story

Toy Story 2
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/t-v/ts2-lg.jpg

Also, some information on the releases:

As anticipated, Disney has announced March 23rd Special Edition releases for Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Like Snow White, each movie's Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($39.99 SRP) will be packaged as both a Blu-ray + DVD and a DVD + Blu-ray. Single-disc DVDs of the movies ($29.99 SRP) will be released eight weeks later on May 18, 2010. Each release will include an exclusive sneak peek of Toy Story 3 ("The Story of Toy Story 3" on the original, "Meet the Characters of Toy Story 3" on TS2) and the Blu-ray packs will also include a movie ticket offer to see the much-anticipated sequel in theaters.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am in for both of these, on release date! Hopefully there will be coupons and perhaps a buy both get xx.00 amount off deal!

I love both of these movies but will probably wait for the inevitable trilogy boxset, especially since I just saw them in theatres and they're fresh in my mind...I can wait it out.

Any idea on whether Disney is planning an additional release for these two when TS3 gets released on BD also? Whether it be for a 3D version, box set, etc.?

As much as these films would be definite purchases for me, I will hold off until it looks like these won't just be placeholder releases for ones planned shortly after.

Not THRILLED with the cover art... but in the end, it really doesn't matter. Also, hoping for steelbooks :D

That's gotta be place holder art. No Buzz or Woody for the little kids to spot on the shelf?

Re: Toy Story 1 and 2 03/23/2010

I was really expecting these late in the year, at the same time as TS3.

Maybe this means we'll get something else like Finding Nemo or The Incredibles in the fall?

UGH @ that Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack. I'm sorry, but anyone that wants to own Toy Story at this point already has the DVD. I'm sick of this needless inflation of MSRP.
