Makes no sense to keep it in my opinion, especially when they're throwing DVDs in with each set.

Has it been confirmed if every special feature from the multiple DVD releases will be ported over?

I know most people aren't ocd about minor featurettes and such, but I have found that almost every BD release leaves out something.

According to *gasp* The Digital Bits:

BUT... and this is a big one... these Blu-rays DO NOT include all of the special features from the stellar Ultimate Toy Box DVD set released in 2000. Much material from that set is missing on the Blu-rays. So the bottom line is that if you love these films, and you want ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that's been released extras-wise, you need to keep both DVD sets. On the other hand, if you're not quite that picky, you can probably get away with selling the 2005 discs and you'll only be losing a few things (the introductions to the films, the multi-angle progressions and a couple other relatively minor items). In any case, I'd definitely recommend hanging on to the Ultimate Toy Box DVDs even if you do upgrade to Blu-ray. That set was just way too good to part with, and there's a lot of extras only available there. So... that one caveat aside, the new Blu-rays are pretty terrific and I think they were well worth the wait. I suspect you're going to love them.

It figures. Oh well, somewhere on down the line, I'll re-buy the Ultimate Toy Box.

Glad I held onto my UTB. Thanks for the info.

^ Good to see that I'm not the only special features junkie. There are several films that I own three (or more?) releases of just for a trailer or featurette. This will make three for the Toy Story films.

I figured this might be the case and held on to my UTB as well.

I have 3 versions of 2001 too. I really love extras but I'm moving halfway across the country soon and I really need to thin the herd. I will probably keep the UTB, though. I love everything Pixar.

If push comes to shove and I really need the space, I'm just dumping all the packaging and keeping the 'extra' discs in sleeves inside of the one case I keep.

$5.00 off of each TS blu, and then there is a coupon on the package to save an additional $10 when you buy both, so $20 off total.

FS will probably honor this...but obviously it's always YMMV based on the rep you get, regardless of it being FS or somewhere in the U.S.

That link took me to a Disney page for coupons for other movies like Old Dogs and The Princess & the Frog, but there were none for Toy Story or Toy Story 2.

Toy Story will be up there a few days before the release, as always.

I just sold my Toy Box and honestly I don't care. I probably looked through that stuff once when I got it 9+ years ago and just recently pulled it out to watch the trailers, but really that stuff on there didn't tickle my fancy so whatever.

So does each title have its own movie ticket for Toy Story 3? So if I buy TS1 & 2, will I be getting TWO tickets for TS3?

If so, this makes the 2 for $30 deal at Target a hell of a lot better!

Is it an actual ticket or some sort of code because as I live in the UK they will be useless to me so someone could have mine when I get them in a few days!

There is some talk over in blu ray bargains that these can be had at target for $4 total.

Since I missed out on the $8 coupon, there is still the $5 coupon (for each right?) plus I have a $10 Reward Zone certificate. I'll have to figure out which is the cheapest route to go.

Well sure if you are lucky enough to get Target to take both the $5 coupon and the $8 upgradetoBlu coupons for both movies. But Target's policy you should not be able to do it but I am sure a couple here will be lucky enough to have it work like they did with MI/Up last year.

Figure I will not have such luck but at $14 total for the 2 I will be happy to say the least.

Question on Target-Do they usually have new releases out and ready to go when they open on Tuesdays? May stop off on the way to work.

Mine does, I do that pretty frequently.

My Target usually starts putting stuff out right at 8am on Tuesdays so most of the time the blu's are still in the cardboard boxes before they can cram them into the clamshells. I love it that way so i can get to the cases before the slipcovers get ruined or discarded.

It's still available, how did you miss out on it?

I posted earlier saying I sold my Toy Story UTB without realizing that this was going on, so I have no more proof of purchase tabs to send in.

The POPs from that supposedly don't work anyway, just the ones from the individual releases.

So, I guess we can look forward to mismatching cases when the three or four disc TS3 hits later this yr? That's gonna drive me nuts...
