AWESOME! The only disappointing thing is that I bought the SD set and haven't gotten to watch it. Clearly I should have just waited...

Let's hope these have some new features with Brooks.

I only enjoy Mel brooks more popular movies and already own Blazing Saddles, Space Balls & Young Frankenstein. So I don't see myself buying this set even though I would love to get a hold of History of the world & Men in Tights on Blu-ray but thats really it.

Already have Blazing Saddles and had Young Frankenstein and Spaceballs on the list. Hmmm, this looks promising but let's see what deals are to be had.

Besides already having Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs and Young Frankenstein, I recently imported HOTWP1 from Japan. The only one left I'd really like to get is High Anxiety. Here's hoping they get released separately overseas.

What annoying packaging. Probably gonna have paper sleeves to hold the discs which means floaters/scratches.

I disagree with you guys. Floaters may detract from the experience, but the packaging, taken on its own, still looks nice.

As an added note, I'm disappointed The Producers didn't make the cut, but you can't win 'em all.

Re: The Mel Brooks Collection: 12/15!!!!!!

Disappointed. I hate when they do releases like this and leave out just a few titles. For Mel Brooks, they really should have included The Producers.

They should have replaced To Be Or Not To Be with The Producers and thrown in Life Stinks and Dracula: Dead and Loving It. That would have been a great set worth owning. This one is just incomplete and not worth it, just like the prior DVD release, in my opinion.

The latter two are two of Brooks' most maligned films, and if you're demanding the collection be more complete, why toss out To Be or Not to Be (which I imagine Brooks has a soft spot for, seeing as it's the one where he starred alongside his wife).

When I first saw the image of this set today, it reminded me of the M.A.S.H. dvd set. Regardless, I hope for individual releases soon after as I already own Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs.

Re: The Mel Brooks Collection: 12/15!!!!!!

I'm not sure why The Producers wasn't included. It's MGM, and Fox distributes their titles, so there shouldn't be any rights issues.

Maybe it just doesn't have a good enough master.

I'd much rather have The Producers than To Be Or Not To Be; I imagine I'm not the only one who thinks that. I might be alone though in wanting what are arguably his two worst films; I want them though for completion-sake. If they included To Be Or Not To Be in addition to all of those, then that's cool, but if I had to choose, I'd rather have the three aforementioned and scrap To Be Or Not To Be. Just my two cents.

I guess it just seems to like the more likely scenario would have been the same exact set, with The Producers also included.

I also would rather have The Producers, but I'm very much looking forward to Twelve Chairs & Silent Movie... everything after that is very mediocre IMO, don't need them. Here's to individual releases,

And I just purchased Young Frankenstein... ah well. I'm not sure if I need this anyway. I'll consider it if it's ever on sale.

I've only replaced Young Frankenstein on blu-ray, and I do have the original set, so I may turn the original into a gift for someone.

Already have Spaceballs and would love to have Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Hopefully they release separately.

That packaging looks terrible. Why can't they just be in standard blu-ray cases or even think paks?

Re: The Mel Brooks Collection: 12/15!!!!!!

I've only got Blazing Saddles on HD DVD, so this set will be welcome in my home. Can't wait for Robin Hood: Men In Tights especially.

Depending on the price I may be in for this. Only have Young Frankenstein on blu-ray (been meaning to get Spaceballs) and never got around to getting the dvd collection. Despite the way the discs are housed being problematic, I think that packaging looks fantastic.

I got this as a gift on SD from a friend a year ago, still haven't watched it. I might grab this once the price drops.

Re: The Mel Brooks Collection: 12/15!!!!!!

I own none of those in the set. I'll reiterate disappointment in the packaging, but that is correctable.

I'll keep an eye on a deal for this. Would be nice if the next DDD sale hits when this releases.

Re: The Mel Brooks Collection: 12/15!!!!!!

For those complaining about the packaging, these are also Blu-Rays. I have yet to scratch a Blu-Ray, or get one that is scratched. The only damage I've ever seen was production-line damage, underneath the disc's surface.
