Re: Very good news from Future Shop regarding SteelBook

Sorry but I have no sympathy for you guys in the US. It's about time us Canadians get some exclusive offers that make you guys drool. I can't tell you how many times I've found a good deal or exclusive package that turns out to be invalid outside the US. You guys are finally getting a taste of your own medicine. Maybe if US companies had made exceptions for Canadians in the past I'd feel for you guys but right now I don't.

I know I'm a bastard

What the fuck being an american film has to do with this?
This is all about a retailer or company tailoring a specialized product to a specific market. Is not like the movies are not being released in the US, now is it?

Re: Very good news from Future Shop regarding SteelBook

acutally sir you are quite wrong, while filming is down in California filming is up everywhere else in the US. while some television productions might be filmed in canada for networks like syfy. most major movies and tv shows are still filmed primarily right here in the USA (there are ofcourse exceptions for films that have a specific need in terms of location but the percentage of american films being filmed 100 percent outside the US is not as high as what you say.

Re: Very good news from Future Shop regarding SteelBook

Why, thank you, sir, for your quick and speedy reply. I am quite aware that 90% of films are not shot in Canada. I was over-exaggerating for effect. After all, you made it very clear that these were AMERICAN films, even though, quite a bit of filming is done on our soil, whether it be portions, specific locations, whatever. The fact exists that without our beautiful country and filming locations, some of your favorite scenes in films would look like complete shit and, I'm sure, vice versa. Let us have a few exclusives without dragging our country into it. I had to drive two hours and cross the border just to get my Clerks 2 DVD gift set.

Which is what incredipoiny will do when he hords every one of the steelbooks he can find.

This good news is only for poiny, more steelbooks to keep from everyone who wants to just walk into a store and buy them.

I thought about it, but i kept hearing horror stories about how flimsy it was. I didn't want it destroyed on arrival.

Then return it and keep returning it until they address their horrible shipping and correct it. Nothing worse that a business that creates more unnecessary work for themselves. FIX THE PROBLEM TO BEGIN WITH...

Re: Very good news from Future Shop regarding SteelBook

I'm still not sympathetic. How come you guys aren't all pissed off about Norway or Germany releasing steelbooks of your precious AMERICAN movies yet Futureshop gets all the anger?
Freshticles had to drive 2 hours to get his exclusive American version. Yet another example in a long line of the US screwing Canadians out of an exclusive.
Guess you guys will have to see what we go through when you have to drive 2 hours to Futureshop huh?

Some places don't let you order in other countries as well. Still all the venom reserved for Futureshop. I still love it though.

That's the way it's going down, man. We're already building high tech steel suits out of our over-abundance of Future Shop steelbooks. Look out.

Re: Very good news from Future Shop regarding SteelBook

good news is...STEELBOOKS!

bad news is...hoarders are going clear the shelves and eye-gouge consumers to paying highly inflated prices on "greed-bay".
