Highlander: The Series (Season 1)

I saw this posted over at Blu-Ray.com: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Hig...-Blu-ray/12442

Sadly, in the thread they have over there, it was mentioned that the original film elements were destroyed in a fire. Apparently this release is upscaled from the DVD masters. So, if true, hopefully this set will be priced accordingly.

You mean, as the same price as the DVD? All my HD players do upscaling already. Don't see why I should buy a new set just for that.

Or as close to it as possible. All I have is the first season on DVD so it wouldn't be much of a double dip for me. However, if the upscale claim is true, I can't see myself jumping on this set if it's priced like any other BD series set.

I just wish there was some confirmation as to wether or not it's truly going to be an upscale from the DVD sets.
