Requiem for a Dream: 9/8/09

Lionsgate Films Lionsgate Home Entertainment have announced that they will bring 'Requiem for a Dream' to Blu-ray on September 8th.....Video will be presented in 1080p AVC accompanied by 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks. Extras include: # Audio commentaries with the director and the director of photography # "Making of" Documentary # Deleted scenes # Cast interviews |

I had never thought about it until this thread, but it hit me that I picked up the DVD years ago after seeing the movie the first time and I have never once put it in my player. I still remember it well, and can vividly picture a number of scenes, it's just not something you want to watch over and over. After realizing that, the Blu-Ray is a definite bargain bin title for me. I can wait years until this is dirt cheap if necessary. |

I've watched this movie 2-3 times in the last five years or so, I basically only watch it when it comes up in conversation and someone else wants to watch it. I think i'm gonna keep my DVD until the BR is under $10.

Extremely depressing but a film that still draws me in everytime I watch it because it's so well made, acted, and directed.
I'm on the fence about picking this up on Blu. |
