UK Highlander BD region locked?
I saw this post on Blu-Ray.com: http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=2832 and it sounds like a good set. In the comments, someone linked to http://www.dvdrama.com/rw_fiche-11350-.php which notes that it's region-free, but I wanted some extra corroboration before I bought it.

Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
That'd be sweet if true. Even better if the special features are not in PAL (for us PS3 folk).

Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
This is one of my ultimate guilty pleasures that I will get in high def! If it's an import, so be it.

Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
There's nothing guilty about the original Highlander. Now Highlander II, on the other hand, is what I call a guilty pleasure. Highlander III and Highlander Endgame are less guilty. Highlander: The Source is cinematic rape.

Please be region free................

Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
Yeah, you're right. I missworded my intent.
Although Endgame wasn't too bad just really huge missed opportunity. The worst offenders being no Donnie Yen/Adrian Paul rematch and Connor was just wrong. In the Italy flashback and part of the Ireland flashback he seemed like the Connor MacLeod from the first movie. But his whole suicidal schtick just didn't jive with me. And Spoiler:
And Highlander III has Deborah Kara Unger  so it's at least watchable. Not good but watchable. But those two are masterpieced compared to The Source. |

Blu-Ray.com just reviewed this disc and confirmed that the movie and the extras are all region-free, and had good things to say about the A/V quality as well. :rock2: Gonna pick this one up, I love Highlander it's cheesy-terrific! |

Sweet.

Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
Ok, where do we order :)
So, if we order this from Amazon UK, it should come out to about $35 US, right? |
Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
Yeah, where's the best/cheapest place to order this?

Thanks.

Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
I'll probably just stick with my Amazon UK order. I didn't know they shipped to the US.

Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
Has anyone actually received this? Saw it was down to about 12 pounds (money) and was wondering on any actual user reviews.

Re: UK Highlander BD region locked?
It's region-free. I just watched it the other night. You know, i remember the movie being so good when I was a kid, but watching it again, well.... ouch. It's one of those films that you remember as being brilliant 25 years ago, but when you see it again you think "I loved THIS??" The pic quality is about as good as it can get, given the source material. It looks pretty decent.
