It’s hard to take you seriously when you are making outlandish comments like the above.

I assume you're talking about the box itself?

Interesting. Is that a pair of boxers the set has incorporated into its design? Which movie is that from?

you know i set it up and once it was set up didn't realize and didn't want to do again.

and YES, i am talking about the physical set!!! i don't know anything about how it looks, looked on whatever medium as of yet. i just got it, so i haven't watched anything yet. perhaps, it looked different/better prior and these new changes are negative, but again i am not denying any of that. i have no idea of these movies on any medium, except CE on digital, of course. but, i don't know any better and really just want to see the actors reading these fantastic lines in these somewhat fantastical, but raw and real movies by this particular director. different vision or not, i just want to see the movies and the actual physical set is quite a stunner. that's it.

i will switch up Battle Royale to keep Arrow's together.

re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread

I on the other hand, just got my uk copy of Fallen Angels from Amazon uk 3rd party seller for about $18, which I had almost no faith would actually ship. Together with my Individual releases of In The Mood For Love and Chungking Express will serve me just fine. I'll pick up 2046 when it gets released individually somewhere and maybe watch the others when they hit Criterion channel.

Otherwise f this set. I don't care how nice the physical box is. This should have been the release of the year.

I don’t need the set, just want Days of Being Wild by itself. Maybe down the line.

On that note, when did In the Mood for Love go out of print (assuming it did)?

I don't think it's been officially announced as out of print, but stock appears to be drying up everywhere and one would assume it will eventually get replaced by the new restoration.

Apparently some of he WKW discs have issues with freezing. Check your sets if you bought it.

Wait... watch them?? I thought we were all just buying the set to put in our closets. Hmm. Need to rethink this.

Cool. I love Bringing Up Baby. Who doesn't?

Gotta admit, I haven't heard of any of the other movies.

I've heard good things about Deep Cover.
And more Tarkovsky is always welcome.

I don't think Criterion includes music videos on their discs anymore, but it would be a treat if they threw in the "Deep Cover" video (Snoop's very first appearance)
