That's good to hear about Brazil - both that there'll be a Criterion Blu-ray release and that Gilliam is working on more special features for it. I've still got the original non-anamorphic DVD set, so I'll definitely be upgrading when it's released.

Is there a replacement case available for 400 Blows?

Not yet. Jon Mulvaney has stated that the remaining cases will be available mid-November, at the earliest.

I'd actually be down for a BD of Brazil.

It's much cheaper than that.

I think a lot of us would like to see Brazil on BD. I'd also like Time Bandits, but I'm not sure if Anchor Bay or Criterion would handle it.

he didnt mention what type of time frame but said he was working on some, i had told him how i thought the criterion 3 disc standard dvd set was one of the finest dvd releases ever made when i asked him to sign it. (one of the few dvds i still own)
I was actually thinking about this film going to BD lately...glad to hear Gilliam always likes to add more to this film.

Just wondering if Gilliam mentioned that it was for a Criterion releaseof Brazil, or a release from it's owners (Universal?)?

No Rushmore or Royal Tennebaums? Great tie-in with the likely release of Fantastic Mr. Fox in Feb/March

Wow, Ophuls on Blu-Ray

I saw Revanche in NYC last year. Not the greatest movie, but some fantastic performances and pretty great camera work. A very cynical film.

I absolutely loved Hunger. So powerful and haunting!

BD for me for sure!

I'm still half-expecting there to be an Anderson box, hopefully there will be whenever Darjeeling is added into the collection.

Bah, there are too many modern films in their Blu-ray collection already.

Darjeeling is a Fox title though. At best, we could get Rushmore, Tennebaums and Life Aquatic (if Criterion still has rights to all three films).

Agreed, in every Criterion thread with great new announcements, people always whine about wanting more Wes Anderson. I wish Criterion would stay away from the modern mainstream stuff all together.

what do you mean remaining cases? Have some already been released? I need them for all the first wave of releases + El Norte and Last Metro.

Only The Third Man replacement was made available so far. It quickly sold out and I'm not sure they have restocked.

thanks for the fast reply! Was there an order button on the Criterion Site? I found zero info there but may have been looking in the wrong place.
