If these come out I can scratch 2 off my list. Tombstone is a great movie. Superior to Wyatt Earp IMO. Armageddon is a guilty pleasure. The audio should be top notch on that movie

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced three catalog titles from the 1990s for release on April 6: the speculative military drama 'Flight of the Intruder', starring Willem Dafoe and Danny Glover; the erotic thriller 'Jade', starring David Caruso and Linda Fiorentino; and the sci-fi horror movie 'The Relic', starring Penelope Ann Miller and Tom Sizemore.

All will come with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks. No special features have been listed for any of them (not that the existing DVDs –originally released by Paramount– included any in the first place).
wish they'd announce THE GATE already...

well no, imdb lists the ratio being 1:85, but all video releases were
full screen due to friedkin`s request.

Maybe he'll "allow it" in widescreen this time, but just ruin the picture like he did with The French Connection!

Is Paramount licensing actual Paramount productions (not just acquisitions -- like the Republic catalog) to Lionsgate now?

"You gotta be like David Caruso in Jade."
"Uh, yeah, okay. I can do that."

Lionsgate should get The Perfect Weapon licensed from Paramount on DVD.

Paramounts one of the worst offenders when it comes to cover art. That one's not too bad imo. It completely misrepresents the movie, but it has kind of an international poster feel.

I think the cover art for Sex,Lies and Videotape is the worst ever. Andie McDowell looks like the Bride of Frankenstein.

I can now sell of my laserdisc copy of 'The Relic' - hooray. The PCM audio track on the laserdisc is intensily loud and in your face.

I saw "An Education" twice. Great film. But I don't think I'll buy it before it's $10.00 or less. And I know a lot of people and Pedro fans thought "Broken Embraces" was his weakest, and boring. I didn't. Since the U.S. BD release is about 5 weeks after the U.K. release, I'll just wait. Is "Tetro" any good?

Ninja Asassins coming March 16th in a bluray/dvd/digital copy combo pack. Never made it to the theaters to see it, so will probably blind buy this.
