transformers blu-ray?

i'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, but i couldn't find the answer thru the search function. wasn't there supposed to be like a extended/director's cut/special/deluxe edition of some kind of transformers to come out right before the sequel hits theatres? i remember holding off on getting the blu-ray since i was read this, but i don't see anything on amazon or any mention of it anywhere and the sequel comes out soon.

There was a thread about this very subject but it seems to have gone missing.

The short answer is, no. There are no plans for ane extended release. This is an old rumour stemming from the IMAX extended cut. The extension was just 2 minutes and they added nothing of value to the movie.

Oh, wait. Here it is: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/hd-talk/552...s-release.html

Don't be upset. The current BD has excellent video/audio and a truck load of special features. It's an excellent presentation that stands among the best BDs (even the newer ones).

Plus, the last thing this movie needed was more superfluous scenes.

Oh good, now I don't have to worry about a first Blu-ray double-dip.

If they involve Megan Fox, I won't complain.
