I know its a lot of fun, earlier today he made a comment about it being cold wet and dreary outside, and its been cold and raining pretty steady all day today.

Re: Disney releases "Snow White and the 7 Dwarves" 7 WEEKS Early on Blu-ray

OK, i'm an idiot.

Now that that's out of the way.

I ordered the blu-ray from Amazon, but for whatever reason, I didn't notice that there were two types of packaging and of course I chose the DVD packaging.

Is there any place I can print out the cover insert of the blu-ray packaging? (i can buy a blu-ray case from sleevetown, but I need the cover art)

Thanks.

Have you opened it yet? Just exchange it in store for the correct one, if you haven't.

of course i did, as i stated earlier, i'm an idiot.

I think I might be out of the woods. My friend's wife ordered it off of amazon and they got the blu-ray packaging. They don't even have a blu-ray player, much less care about the packaging. So i just have to hope he's right.

Go to Best Buy and see if they still have any of the empty Blu-ray Steelbooks left.

My copy from Amazon arrived today and while I havn't watched the Blu-Ray yet, the DVD is playing now and the restoration is beautiful and stunning, the colors are so much more vivid. Disney did a great job with this re-release.

After a quick check, it looks like most of them are true 1080p. Steamboat Willie looks to be a Lowry Digital remaster (which appeared on the Oswald set in 480p). They look fantastic for the most part, especially Music Land.

The Goddess of Spring and The Skeleton Dance might be upscaled, though. The latter is identical to the '01 Silly Symphonies set version. The Oswald cartoons set had a different transfer with silent opening/closing titles and 1.20:1 framing.

Except that it's a steelbook for Sleeping Beauty. He'll be out $65 and have two useless cases!

Re: Disney releases "Snow White and the 7 Dwarves" 7 WEEKS Early on Blu-ray

Does anyone have any idea when Amazon might stop selling this for $9.99 with the code?

I ended up with an extra copy and wanted to sell it, but with $9.99 to compete with, I'd be practically giving it away.

Thanks.

Due to the massive discounts on this title it seems very hard to sell to anyone.

If you're afraid you're not going to recoup your $10 (maybe even less), you could always give it to someone as a gift. You know what's coming up in a couple months right?

Or were you hoping to gouge someone for a payday?

How would you gouge someone for a title that is $19.99 even if the snowhite code didn't work?

Just hang onto it until after it goes back in the vault.

I just want to dump it for $13 or so, which will be easy to do, in my opinion, whenever amazon cancels the snowhite code.

Re: Disney releases "Snow White and the 7 Dwarves" 7 WEEKS Early on Blu-ray

iam going to go out on a limb and assume that when he orderd this it was at a 24.99 or higher price from somewhere that doesnt price match.
then once he saw it was possible to get it for about 10.00 decided to pick it up for that price and is now stuck with a second one.
if thats the case you should just return it if you still have the reciept.
or just put it on ebay who knows maybe you will be surprised and recoup your cost.
