Video will be presented in 1.85:1 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack.

Special features include:

* “It Was The Eighties!” (HD) -- Linda Hamilton talks about working on the film, offering great behind-the-scenes stories about the cast and crew
* “Stephen King on a Shoestring” (HD) – All-New interview with Producer Donald Borchers.
* “Welcome to Gatlin: The Sights and Sounds of Children of the Corn” (HD) – Interview with Production Designer Craig Stearns and Composer Jonathan * “Harvesting Horror: The Making of Children of the Corn” (SD)
* Fast Film Facts
* Original theatrical trailer
* Poster & still gallery
* Original storyboard and original title sequence art
Really glad to see AB has gone back to releasing some films from their vast Horror collection. Its been a while since I've seen them do much of anything that has not been a D&D. Hopefully this means more titles in October!

Good news, hopefully this looks better than some of AB's other Blu releases.

Bad news on a remake though, I can't believe we're already into the 80s remakes...gettin' old I guess. ;)

I must admit, I saw this for the first time, during the last October Horror Film Challenge, and I was disappointed, having been a huge fan of the original short story, I thought the movie didn't live to my expectations. Out of curiousity though I will more than likely rent the blu edition to see the supplements.

Wasn't there a different documentary on their Divimax Special Edition?

I'd be interested in interviews with the actors who played the children, seeing what Isaac and Malachi are doing today.

I grew up watching this film. It's pretty average, but I'm gonna pick it up for the features.

Same here. AB catalog titles tend to drop in price real quick on Amazon so I'll wait a few weeks before buying. I got hit big when Heathers dropped so quickly.

I'm one of those types that loves to collect all the sequels, even if I know they stink, so I've been holding out for a boxset.

Any CotC experts here? How many sequels were there? Are they good? Any boxsets or trilogy sets?

7 movies in all. The last 2 wasn't any good (6 was mediocre, but the last one was terrible). AFAIK, the second one has never been released on DVD in North America. And I highly doubt Disney is going to bother with releasing the other sequels on Blu-ray.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the others will never see the light of day on blu-ray, especially sine most of them have an average DVD release (for the type of film's they are). Plus I'm pretty sure that Disney's hold on the films doesn't start until the third or fourth movie, so we've got the same problem with this series that plagues "Halloween" and "Terminator."

But at the same time these are definitely not movies you need to own on Blu-ray or even DVD, if you have a VCR still they probably play best (especially atmosphericlly) on tape.

Looking forward to your thoughts on it.

I do not own any release of this film, so I'm in if the BD is cheap :)

I'm a huge King fan and Night Shift was the first book I ever read of his. This was one of the longer stories in that collection and dragged a bit because of it. The movie was absolutely horrible. I saw it in a preview weekend back in '84 and the studio handed out comment cards for us to give our opinion on the film. I remember writing down, 'I cannot believe this film got financed.' I haven't seen it since. I wonder if my opinion would change now...

Here is a sample extra blank card I grabbed:

Wow, already? Wonder why BB wants this to be an exclusive for them...kinda of an odd title.

I'll have to check when I get homem but I seem to recall seeing a listing for subtitles.

As far as I can tell, yes. Plus lots more. Very loaded.

I was wondering the same thing. Def. a bizarre choice, but at least people can get it 2 months earlier than they anticipated.

I got mine in the other day. The back lists English SDH and Spanish Subtitles.

All the DIVX features carried over plus an hour or so of new HD features. Gonna watch this Monday.

Fixed.

They have a ton of great flicks that need the Blu treatment.

I want a Bava box in Blu...
