Thankfully, from what i've seen most audiences don't think as negatively as you do about TMNT.

Whle I agree it didn't need to be packed in, it's hardly looked down upon as the 3rd movie and generally favorable from viewers.

Rotten Tomatoes gave III a 32% and TMNT a 33% - both are really bad films. But at least TMNT III has the classic appeal going for it (live action, Feldman) while TMNT was just bad bad bad. Personally I felt the first was decent, second eh, third sucked, and TMNT sucked balls. Infact, why the hell am I even considering buying? Thanks - I just talked myself out of this set!

Critical reviews were low, but user reviews on rotten tomatoes were a lot higher at over 60%. It's also respectable 6.6 on IMDB, versus 4.2 for #3. Different tastes of course, but the general audience seemed to think it was fine and not crap

I, too, wish that TMNT wasn't in the boxed set--but that's only b/c I already have the HDDVD. I hate double-dipping.

TMNT was pretty good, except the human models. TMNT 3 is a piece of shit.

The TMNT fan in me will make me pick this one up on Blu, even though I already own all four films on DVD. I agree that III is the weakest of the four films, but I enjoyed TMNT and am already really looking forward to the live-action reboot film in 2011.

I think most people out there like at least 2 of a given film series in a set. I personally like all three Ocean's, the first two Matrixes (and bits of the third), two Austin Powers films, two of the Batmans (and bits of the third).

Why the heck aren't they releasing the first one by itself? That's the only one I really want. Dang it!

Eh, it still looks pretty terrible. Honestly, I would just wait for this to be released.

I think I'd rather have the original cartoons on Blu-ray.

I'm an old-school TMNT fan. I still have all my old toys and comics. That being said, I'll buy this box. I haven't seen the first film in a long time, same with the second and third, although I did really love the second as a kid. I hope they include some bonus material with Vanilla Ice. I never saw TMNT but I'd like to, so I don't mind having it in the box... for now.

I'm gonna keep it on pre-order in case the price drops between now and release date. And I also want to know about those minor details, like picture quality and extra features.

Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trilogy 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition ---> 8/

I only want the first one and just for nostalgia. The second film is "meh" to me, the third is terrible, and the fourth is "meh" once again as far as I can tell. So spending that much for one okay movie seems like a horrible deal. And who knows how good the PQ/AQ will be? I'll either wait for an individual release of the first film or for a major sale on this in a few years. At the moment I'm going to have to pass.

Overpriced? Nah. Bourne Trilogy? Now that's overpriced.

Sure is. I'll wait. All I really want is the first one for nostalgia, and TMNT because I actually liked it. The second and third movies suck, even as a kid I knew they were bad.

There are so many extras included in the blu version that I'd say it's definitely worth the $59.99. Sure I'd love it to be less, but w/e.

I must inquire more into this ranking system. In other words, I ask: "Are you for REAL?!"
