Any blu-ray titles have the THX optomizer?

I know it's no sub for a real calibration disc, but is it available in any BD titles?

It "might" be available on Clone Wars or Indy. I havn't watched Indy and I can't remember if it was on Clone Wars.

WALL-E has a "Maximize Your Home Theater" feature on Disc 1. I know this for sure. I don't think this is exactly the same as the THX Optimizer.

But according to the THX site the following US BDs have an Optimizer:

Clone Wars
Indiana Jones and the KotCS
Terminator 2 (Lionsgate)

You can just burn your own from what people over at the AVS Forum created. Link

thanks for the info. I'm always on the avs forum too I should have thought to look there.

I'm planning on using Kal's greyscale calibration but need to actually get the sensor someday.

I have the Indy disc and there is no Optimizer I could find. The closest thing to Optimizer I've seen is on the aofrementioned Wall-E BD.

Wall-E has the same optimizer as the one on Ratatouille, minus the color and tint calibration, so it's mainly just for audio, contrast, brightness, and aspect ratio. Ratatouille had a mail in offer for a red filter to use with the optimization, but it's been defunct for a while (since before I got the disc). Does anyone know of a way to get a matching filter for this anymore?

Any Sony bluray has a calibration menu if you hit 7669 at the menu.

Would the DVE red filter work?

It might, but if I had DVE, I wouldn't really bother with the Pixar optimizer.. ;)

Yeah, true.

In any case, I tried it out with the DVE red filter. For what it's worth, I got the same result as when using DVE's color bar (well, square) pattern. But I wish the Pixar color pattern were static. All the little cubes "dancing" around made it a pain to focus on what the hell I was doing.
