No, that's ok. I wasn't being a dick. Sorry if you thought I was poking fun at you.

I was just thinking about how many Forbidden Planet sets WB sold, and how many WoZ sets are now out there!

If you decide to go for the Target version, get a raincheck this week. It will probably be $39.99 next week(my receipt states that I saved $5 off of $39.99).

This is totally scarce (The Bestbuy Exclusive with Lenticular Cards)

1,000 for Bluray - UPC: 883929093687
1,000 for DVD

That is why some Bestbuy stores carry it and some were not. Lucky to those who stocked more than 2.

Make sure your eyes are sharp to see the ones with the exclusive sticker!!

I managed to pick up the Target Emerald Edition of this today. They only had one copy left. I've only had time to watch about 20 minutes of it, but man, what a gorgeous transfer. Worth every penny.

Got the last copy of the Target 3-Disc Emerald Edition. I think the guy said they received three copies. However, they had quite a few copies of Gremlins on hand.

My god, this transfer is mind-blowingly good. I find myself just staring at details in the frame instead of watching the main action. Adam's review was spot on. This is going to be my new reference disc for picture.

So I've read some conflicting things now.... Is the Target Blu-Ray edition the same as the discs in the super duper priced Blu-Ray edition? I want the movie, but not all the extras, as I can't afford that right now.

The Target edition has everything but the digital copy.

It has the two Blu-ray discs plus the DVD-18 of the When the Lion Roars documentary.

The only complaint I have is that they could have slapped the six hour documentary on one side of a BD. I tired of flipper discs a few years ago and it takes a bit of the sleekness of this set. Other than that I have no complaints. Well worth the 35 I shelled out today.

That's interesting. I wish I had known that. I wasn't paying any attention to it, I didn't really care, but it would be nice to have that now that I know it's rare.

I was wondering where my postcards were!

Can anyone tell me what bonus features on the previous standard DVDs are NOT on the Blu-Ray? I have 3 copies of Oz now and want to know if I need to keep all of them.

I've own all the copies of Wizard of Oz, and I believe all of the features from the previous releases are all on the BD

Does it have a Dark Side of the Moon audio track yet? The SACD 5.1 mix would have worked perfectly.

Did anyone catch the cowardly lion clip on Conan tonight?

At the risk of making a fool of myself: This is my first bluray purchase for my nifty new blu ray player.

However, there doesn't seem to be any sort of menu. Is this normal? It just starts the film and every remote button is disabled except for a button called 'pop up' which does present me with a text only selection of options.

It's no problem. I just want to make sure there isn't an issue with my disc or my player.

I can't get Hulu to work on my company network, so I can't get the embed button to enable, so here's a link: http://www.hulu.com/watch/99162/the-...n-wizard-of-oz

If someone else wants to embed it that'd be swell.

Thats normal for all Warner Bros. movies. Others do have menus before the movie (ala dvd) but not WB.

It depends on the disc. Some start up immediately, others play trailers first and then start, and others go to a menu. It's not always an "immediate play" sort of thing with a pop up mini-menu. Most Warner Bros. discs are like that though - where they just jump into the movie.

Interesting Conan clip there. Wonder how Johnny and Ed would have reacted.

I went to Target today and they didn't have any of the Emerald Edition. Gonna check back on Friday or stop by another Target. Hopefully they have it by then or somewhere else.

My best buy had 3 of them, I got one.

I took the UCE home and was about to discuss taking it back with the woman about getting the target edition, then she tore into this all giddy and says "I'm glad you bought this version."
