What are your most anticipated Blu-ray releases?

Announced or unannounced. As for me:

Unannounced

Pulp Fiction
Jackie Brown

Seeing as how Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill and Death Proof are all on Blu-ray, I hope it's just a matter of time before we see Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.

True Romance
Fight Club
Leon the Professional

Already Announced

Ghostbusters - I seriously cannot wait. Here's hoping it's an excellent release.

More votes for Heat, Leon & Titanic. Also after having my appetite whetted with the Canadian releases of Nightmare on Elm Street and Jason vs. Freddy, I'm looking forward to a nice BD box set of the series.

Re: What are your most anticipated Blu-ray releases?

Count me in for Fight Club, 24 s1 (although I would like to see the rest too), the David Lynch films and Heat.

My vote goes to Night of the Hunter, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World, the recent Hitchcock remasters from Uni, The Sting, The Deer Hunter, both Cape Fears and In Cold Blood (which is coming out...AWESOME!)

On the TV side, BSG, Sopranos, Deadwood, Generation Kill and John Adams sets. Prison Break season 2 and 4, Sons of Anarchy s1, Rescue Me (I think that is seasons 1, 2, 4), Burn Notice, True Blood (due out), Fringe, and finally Lucky (old FX show, even SD will do).

EDIT - Breaking Bad...how could I miss that one?!?!

Did Mystic River come out on Blu yet? If not, I will vote for that.

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is an excellent choice.

I will also add Rashomon and Playtime on the Blu list too.

Well, The Last Metro in Blu Ray already has a release date from Criterion; 24 March, 2009, so this one is confirmed :)

I am personally hoping for:
- Fight Club
- Fallen Angels (Kino just announced a new DVD release of this one but no Blu-Ray yet :( What is wrong with them... so sad)

Re: What are your most anticipated Blu-ray releases?

Seven Samurai - Not announced, but inevitable. While the best available film elements/negatives/prints are not exactly in great shape Criterion did one heck of a job on their DVD re-release of the title. I'd love to see just how good that one could look. Not only do I consider it to be one of the BEST movies of all time (if not THE best), but it is also one of my absolute favorites.

Star Wars/Empire/Jedi - with the original theatrical versions. I passed on the re-releases due to the NON-anamorphic widescreen of the theatrical versions that were just tacked on as "extras." I'd like to see those at least cleaned up a little and given the proper respect that they are due (without those theatrical versions Lucas has no chance of re-working them later - or making enough money for Fox to push through Raiders of the Lost Ark with Paramount).

The Abyss - I love this movie, and since we haven't seen an anamorphic re-release I would like to see the remastering done for Blu Ray.

Young Guns II - Yup. That's right. I said it - Young Guns II. Man, just for the opening shots of the old west alone that movie would be worth it. Westerns are the ideal movies for Blu Ray, and YGII was a beautifully filmed movie. Outdoor, daytime shoots that look magnificent on film look amazing on Blu Ray - they've got that POP! And this movie is just a hell of a lot of fun.
