I could have sworn there was another title aside from QoS which will be in the next volume. I can't imagine them putting it in a box set so soon.

I thought The Spy Who Loved Me was meant to be in this batch? And if Fox is releasing QoS on the same day as the next wave of Bonds, they better all have steel books at Best Buy.

Goldeneye is also missing from that list. That and TSWLM are two of my favorites!

Can't wait to pick this one up. I really enjoyed it as a continuation of the CR plotline. I'm sure they'll double dip but I don't care.

I wonder if the next movie will have two "O"s in the title to create the 007, like this and Royale.

That's a decent cover, but the shadowing on Craig's face makes him look like he got a half tan.

Moonraker is set for a March 24 release. I'm sure we'll get info on the other catalog titles very soon. AVC, DTS HD MA, the usual.

I like that poster but I was hoping they would have gone with the alternate one (the one that had a rather golden hue).

Re: Quantum of Solace - 3/24/09

Amazon now has pre-orders up for both Moonraker and The World Is Not Enough. Goldfinger is still just a 'please wait to be notified when this is available' status. They also have links for Amazon exclusive steelbooks for those 3 titles, although they are also in the not yet available category.

Re: Quantum of Solace - 3/24/09

Is it me? Is there going to be a distinct lack of sales for this because you can't get it for much less than £18 online - probably £20-25 in the shops? For a single disc edition, that's ridiculous. Especially, as already implied in this thread, there'll probably be a 'deluxe' version produced in 6-12 months time anyway. Madness..!
I won't be buying it 'til it comes down in price - rip off. And if it doesn't - well, I won't buy it!

That's about $25 U.S. That doesn't seem out of line for a new Blu-ray release.

That's been typical. Discounted to $24.99 release week, then to $29.99 for 2 weeks, then to $16.99 as part of some other sale a month later. See Indiana Jones, Iron Man, Eagle Eye. and BoB, for examples.

I can wait until the first major price drop. This did not even feel like a Bond movie, but I have every other movie on DVD and I'm a completest.

Re: Quantum of Solace - 3/24/09

I would think sales prices will range from $19.99 to $22.99 when it first comes out. I'm debating wether to get this release or wait for the inevitable 2 disc release down the road - whenever that is.

DVDEmpire just listed 5/12 release dates for the previously speculated wave 2 releases of License To Kill and The Man With The Golden Gun

Just the two, then? Or is there a TBD third disc?

That cover comes across as a bad photoshop. They took one of the posters and stuck in the portion with the desert hotel on fire.

Back when a Volume 4 set was being rumored in Dec. and Jan., Quantum was supposed to the third disc.

Yes, but I don't think they're going to re-release it a month and a half after it streets.

It looks like they two Moore's are standalones. I don't see a set listed.

Exactly why I quit buying movies for the extras. As long as the PQ and sound is not a REAL upgrade, I tend to pass on all the extras. They usually aren't worth it and it's stuff that I never get around to seeing anyway. And if I do see it, unless it is an excellent documentary, I rarely have the urge to revisit the stuff.

As for the movie, I didn't care too much for it the first time I saw it. Saw it a second time in the theater, and while it was a little better, it was still quite weak. I hope it plays on the small screen better than it did on the big screen. I am a JB fan so I will eventually own it even if I don't get it right away. $15 bucks or less is what I am looking for.
