Quantum of Solace - 3/24/09

I could have sworn there was another title aside from QoS which will be in the next volume. I can't imagine them putting it in a box set so soon.

I thought The Spy Who Loved Me was meant to be in this batch? And if Fox is releasing QoS on the same day as the next wave of Bonds, they better all have steel books at Best Buy.

Moonraker is set for a March 24 release. I'm sure we'll get info on the other catalog titles very soon. AVC, DTS HD MA, the usual.

I like that poster but I was hoping they would have gone with the alternate one (the one that had a rather golden hue).

Amazon now has pre-orders up for both Moonraker and The World Is Not Enough. Goldfinger is still just a 'please wait to be notified when this is available' status. They also have links for Amazon exclusive steelbooks for those 3 titles, although they are also in the not yet available category.

Is it me? Is there going to be a distinct lack of sales for this because you can't get it for much less than £18 online - probably £20-25 in the shops? For a single disc edition, that's ridiculous. Especially, as already implied in this thread, there'll probably be a 'deluxe' version produced in 6-12 months time anyway. Madness..!
I won't be buying it 'til it comes down in price - rip off. And if it doesn't - well, I won't buy it!

That's been typical. Discounted to $24.99 release week, then to $29.99 for 2 weeks, then to $16.99 as part of some other sale a month later. See Indiana Jones, Iron Man, Eagle Eye. and BoB, for examples.

I can wait until the first major price drop. This did not even feel like a Bond movie, but I have every other movie on DVD and I'm a completest.

I would think sales prices will range from $19.99 to $22.99 when it first comes out. I'm debating wether to get this release or wait for the inevitable 2 disc release down the road - whenever that is.

DVDEmpire just listed 5/12 release dates for the previously speculated wave 2 releases of License To Kill and The Man With The Golden Gun

That cover comes across as a bad photoshop. They took one of the posters and stuck in the portion with the desert hotel on fire.

Re: Quantum of Solace - 3/24/09
The only time I dd'd for extras was such a waste. On Saving Private Ryan, I upgraded the DD to the DTS version. Then I triple dipped for the SE box set. Well I've yet to watch any of the extras or the 2 documentaries that came with it, and the SE is DD and not DTS so I spent money and went backwards.
As for the movie, I didn't care too much for it the first time I saw it. Saw it a second time in the theater, and while it was a little better, it was still quite weak. I hope it plays on the small screen better than it did on the big screen. I am a JB fan so I will eventually own it even if I don't get it right away. $15 bucks or less is what I am looking for.
