Hulk on HD-DVD. It was gorgeous. I could almost touch Jennifer Connolly.

My first Blu-ray which happened to be Stealth back in Sept of 2006. Never had cable before I got FIOS a few months ago and never bothered with OTA programming.

Can't even remember. I know the first thing I viewed on my first HDTV in May of '05 was a bootleg of Star Wars Ep 3. A couple of days later we got the HD DVR from cable and I remember being amazed by that red ball bumper during Sportscenter. I think the first HD-DVD I watched throughout (popped KK in when setting the drive up) was Miami Vice. First BR was Cars. First program viewed on our first 1080p TV was this past summer's Olympics. I really doing think anything prior to the 1080p 52" set compares to watching Casino Royale on our upgraded set.

I bought my PS3 during Wal-Mart's "get 10 free blurays" deal. 300 was the first movie I watched, haven't watched it since.

The Great Race. Still on my Tivo. A little soft. What, summer 2004, maybe?

On BD, I think the first one I actually watched through was Lion, Witch & Wardrobe. But did some fooling around with The Incredible Hulk first.

Can't remember exactly, but probably Disturbia (HD-DVD) or The Bourne Identity (HD-DVD). On Blu-ray, Short Circuit.

King Kong on HD DVD.
Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl (the first one) on Blu-ray

Both titles that were included with my initial players (xBox 360 add-on and Panasonic 10AK).

I don't remember, as it would've been on TV. Something on HBO maybe.

First downloaded HD movie was The Descent. This was both legal and like 2-3 years ago, for those who live in a fantasy land where movie downloads don't exist.

First HD DVD I saw was probably Jarhead. First BD I saw was The Lives of Others.

Either Enchanted or The Italian Job. I bought Enchanted and rented The Italian Job on the same day, to test the new Blu-ray drive I had just installed in my HTPC, and don't remember which one I watched first.

First HD was probably Superman the Movie in theaters when it was first released. I know we weren't talking about film though, but that was my first movie and I still remember being amazed by the big screen.
First HD DVD clip was Serenity during an HD DVD/BD demo. Also the first full movie I watched on HD DVD
First BD clip was Lawrence of Arabia at the same demo and the first full length BD movie is hard to remember, but I think it was the Prestige.

I believe it was Training Day on HD DVD. There are scenes in that movie that just blew me away.

Re: First High Definition film watched?

I think it was The Specialist. I got my first HDTV back in 2002 and it was the first movie that was on at the time.

Spot-checked Planet Earth on HD DVD (didn't wow me like I thought it would), and watched the new Director's Cut of Blade Runner later that day (awesome!).

Re: First High Definition film watched?

I'm a little foggy on which were my exact "firsts", but I think it was:

Transformers on HD DVD
Spider-Man 3 on Blu-ray
