I'll believe it when I see it ;)

unrated! I wonder how much they paid Warner's for the domestic release of this.

tylergfoster 11-03-08 11:52 AM

Sweet!

Gizmo 11-03-08 11:56 AM

Awesome. I'm assuming this won't be the Unrated version.

Oh well. I prefer parts #2 and #3 more...so hopefully those will arrive someday.

Oliver Clothesoff 11-03-08 12:22 PM

very cool. I'll get this day 1

Gizmo 11-03-08 12:27 PM

Wow, totally missed that

Zen Peckinpah 11-03-08 01:02 PM

Nifty news. I myself would stab Crispin Glover in the hand with a corkscrew for 2-4, 6, and 7 on the format.

This will be a must buy - if, of course the unrated cut is actually released.

DthRdrX 11-03-08 02:34 PM

Must BUY!

critterdvd 11-03-08 02:36 PM

Wow... unrated was the key wording for me :)

Now lets hope the sequel's come...

GenPion 11-03-08 02:37 PM

I will get this one for sure... granted, I will only grab it shortly after release if the price is right. This has got to be on sale somewhere for around $10-13 in order for me to consider it.

My bad. But apt amendment, sir.

I'll be buying this one eventually, though it would be cool if we were getting a big boxset.

Me too. I want the version with Jason in the hockey mask.

asianxcore 11-03-08 08:19 PM

Damn. I hate upgrading :)

I have the R2 French disc already. Oh well.

Eric D. 11-03-08 08:39 PM

It's nice to see that Paramount will finally do right by this film by releasing the unrated cut.

dsa_shea 11-03-08 10:16 PM

Can we finally get a good version of 3 in 3D?

The Monkees 11-04-08 01:05 AM

I'm so happy about this, it's my favorite horror movie. I just met a bunch of the cast for this movie back in February.

Matthew Ackerly 11-04-08 07:37 AM

This will not have an HD sound mix.

Dolby 1.0 Mono only.

Disappointing. Apparently, the original audio elements could not be found.

This comes from High-def Digest.

Giles 11-04-08 08:30 AM

better the original mono theatrical mix, than a faux 5.1 mix which most of the time can sound artificial.

Finally, hopefully the others will follow.
