BluFocus: BD Quality Control

It was announced several months ago about BluFocus being the qc for BD titles. The website is live. Eventually, they will have an "online reporting system" where you can submit issues with BD movies.

For now, you can email them. I submitted my issue with Indy 4 this morning and already received a response from their cs dept saying they will forward the issue to the appropriate people.

If you have playback issues with movies or players, flood their inbox.

My Sharp player alone could bring down their website. Nice to have this resource though I have had few issues so far on my LG and PS3.

That's cool. I'm just now really getting into Blu-ray after slowly starting a few months back and the amount of compatibility issues seem to be pretty ridiculous.

Perfect launch date times with the Bond issue most people are experiencing.

I think it's pretty player-dependent. I've had a Panasonic Blu-ray player since the middle of last winter and haven't had a single issue.

Sent them an email about the James Bond playback issues and received a quick response stating they will look into this and discuss with Sony as necessary.

This is an excellent step towards standardizing things. Good job, Blu!

Yeah, I think you're definitely right about that. I've never had any playback issues with my PS3.

In the process right now of sending them a handful of problems I'm having with a few Blu's. I'm hoping this does push for a much greater QC so we don't have issues like whats going on with Bond right now.

Why would they discuss Fox disc issues with Sony?

They probably meant Sony hardware.

Sony's "Blu-print" authoring software is used by a lot of other studios. It's possible that Fox is one of them.
