Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix (HD-DVD)
Thought I would watch the film now, since I'm reading through the Seventh book for the first time. Fun film, awesome P/Q.

I, Robot (Blu-Ray)
My first time watching the film. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. One of the least annoying Will Smith roles that I've seen. P/Q was great.

KNOWING. Superb PQ. Actually, I liked the movie. It wasn't that bad. It was a blind buy for me and I don't regret spending $ 20 on it.

The Final Countdown - This was a very entertaining popcorn flick, I had a lot of fun watching it. PQ looked pretty good considering the age as well.

Knowing -- after which my wife and I, longtime Firesign Theatre fans, turned to each other and said: "This is shit. But it's really great shit."
What is the difference between a story that has an explanation for what the characters do but keeps it secret, and a story that has no explanation for what the characters do?
To the audience, no difference at all. But it had a very interesting visual style (shot in HD video, so the SFX and the live action blended interestingly), excellent audio, and the courage to go over the top when there was nowhere else to go.

I finished watching Lost: Season One. Absolutely amazing PQ/AQ and the show plays just as great as always (if not even better). I can't wait to finish going through all the seasons again on Blu-ray and to experience the end of this brilliant series next year. It will be sad to see it go, but the idea of seeing resolution for these character and long-standing mysteries is very exciting.

Knowing: Great AQ & PQ interesting film. Not really good but not really, really bad either.
Batman & Robin: very pretty & visually attractive over the top foolishness with great PQ & AQ
Dragon Heart: did not age that well. PQ was decent not stellar and the AQ was good not great.

Valkyrie Gorgeous transfer, top notch AQ and PQ. Very well done, with a lot of authentic detail. Would have preferred a different lead actor, one with a British accent (since that;'s what was standing in for German), one who didn't look so out of place. But accepting Cruise as a given, he did the best he could have done, and the rest of the cast was first-rate. Lots of authentic detail, and reasonable historical accuracy.

The Thing on HD DVD. I saw detail in this transfer that I don't remember ever seeing--a mutated face on one side of the creature...boxes of Milk Duds in the background...surgical supplies in Doc's office...

Plague Town - Some nice moments, not sure if the film really benefits on Blu-Ray since it's so low budget. Definitely worth watching if you are a zombie fan, but not worth owning IMO.

Dragon Hunters Great CGI animated feature w/great AQ & PQ.
Red Cliff I'm a sucker for period pieces and this is a great Jon Woo Effort. AQ &PQ are both generally outstanding. The only real drawback is the "HD" Ghost that pops in frame every 15-20 minutes or so. It lasts less than 5 seconds but, it really can be annoying.

I just checked out some scences from Batman, and Batman Returns, Batman has a nice picture quality but on the other hand, Batman Returns has stunning picture quality, even better than the first one which shocked me because I thought Batman Returns would have the same quality as Batman but guess not but hey, I am happy about that since Batman Returns is my favorite!
