Narnia: Dawn Treader I like this series and this disc looked great as any new movie should
Galaxy Quest Recent upgrade from the SD and it looks and sounds like perfection. Oh wait wasn't that HD DVD's motto?

i didn't think it was anything spectacular. i have a pretty good set up and the pic was nice and audio fine, but that's it. it is an 80's movie and the presentation seemed to reflect that. i am sure much better than DVD, but i wasn't gaga over it. it was decent, but with no extras and just fine presentation, i am glad i just netflixed.

Supernatural : The Anime Series.
Just started this. Interesting take on some episodes from S1/S2.
Not sure why Jensen Ackles couldn't voice Dean for all 22 episodes though.

Mars Needs Moms even during a second viewing of the film, I somehow managed to fall asleep on it AGAIN...
on the plus side the commentary track is far more entertaining and funnier than the movie itself.

Life During Wartime - I'd have to say this was Solondz's weakest effort, though I wouldn't say I disliked it. I thought the performances were all very good, especially Ciaran Hinds. I could've gone my whole life without seeing Allison Janney & Michael Lerner having sex, though.

A rather disappointing evening:
Tried watching Tangled but it froze twice
Moved on to Princess and The Frog not bad but not in the top tier of family films by any means
Tron: Legacy I can remember playing Tron back in the day but I really didn't enjoy the movie much

The Man Who Would Be King
Watched this again last night. Owned it on VHS, DVD, and now BD. I saw this in its original theatrical run when I was a mere adolescent, and it made a huge impression on me. I can even recall, after seeing the movie, that it inspired me to make up my own story about going off to conquer exotic lands.
As an eleven year-old, I found the movie colorful, thrilling, and sometimes scary...the stuff of a boy's secret and sometimes forbidding adventure world. The references to Freemasonry went over my head at the time, but I had no problems understanding the basic story.
This is such a great film, Huston at the top of his game. And I'm glad to finally have it on a disc I don't have to flip over!
