Rambo: Exrended Cut
I must say this was good both visually and sound wise. Far exceeded my expectations. The video quailty was really good capturing what seemed like a National Geographic series. And the sound...a sound demo for sure.

The Town Good flick. I think it showed Ben Affleck can actually act, at least in this case. It will be a disappointment to those looking for Ronin style action because so much is focused on the relationship. My only real complaint was I had trouble with the Boston Irish accents and understanding some of the dialogue

The Town - Surprisingly good movie, I could have done with out the terrible bloated love story though.

2001 Maniacs - Watched this once when it came out, liked it a lot. Tried watching it again this past Oct. and wound up selling it back used; I couldn't get through it. Got a review copy of the BD and gave it another spin, liked it more and accepted it for what it is: a low-buget throwback to Lewis' classic. It's far from perfect, but it's got lots of gore & boobs. PQ is very mediocre, but the AQ isn't so bad. Decent extras.
Days of Heaven - My first Malick film, and I really enjoyed it visually, though I felt the story itself was extremely simplistic and took a total backseat to the imagery. Gorgeous transfer, and very solid audio for a 2.0 track. I look forward to watching more of his films.

Sound Of Music Music Machine version where it jumps to the musical numbers. Love that feature

Just popped in disc 1 of BBC's 'Life'. As always, the picture and sound is outstanding

Was on the fence out the Red Riding Trilogy, so I rented it from Netflix. Wow, I immediately logged into amazon afterwards to purchase it. Amazing films, I cannot believe this slipped under my radar until Sessa mentioned it in a post recently. Gracias.

Agreed. I've only seen Pt. 1...but it was amazing. If anyone here has Netflix, this is a must see. It's also in HD with DD 5.1 (if your Netflix device is capable). I'm planning on watching Pt. 2 tomorrow night.
