BackTo The Future Looked good. yes it appeared scrubbed a little too clean but I didn't think the characters looked waxy at all.

Terminator Salvation

First time viewing. Fun film. Just enough cool robots, things blowing up, future shenanigans and Christian Bale to keep my interest.

I didn't like the obvious () nod to Arnie. Just when you are engulfed in the film's setting, some goofy shit comes and makes you laugh.

The Pacific Eps 9 and 10. Very powerful and a good story if not quite as enthralling as Band Of Brothers as a series. I do think however that the men in the Pacific theater had much worse conditions than those in Europe. Not to minimize the atrocities anyone went through, it just seemed more miserable on those crappy islands with an enemy willing to break any rule to kill you.

Am I the only one watching movies this weekend?

The Pacific Documentaries

Mama Mia For a movie with singing and dancing with actors who don't sing or dance I find myself being entertained constantly throughout this goofy movie

The Proposal We've seen it as a rental but I got it for my wife for Christmas because she and my daughter love it. I find it very enjoyable myself/

Yojimbo: I love Criterion's treatment of this movie on HD. It's a great movie with an excellent performance by Mifune.

Beauty And The Beast. It was way too bright and cleaned up to watch on an HD computer monitor, so I had to watch it on my regular tv. Much easier to watch.

Inception - I enjoyed it, but I wasn't blown away like I thought I would be. Top notch Audio and Video though. Maybe this will get better with repeat viewings.

The Good, the bad and the ugly to finish off the Man with No Name Trilogy. Still a great movie IMHO.

Armored was not nearly as bad as I expected. In fact, I don't even know why I expected it to be bad... but it was fun and ridiculous.

The Order - Good performance by Ledger, but the movie's mostly a total bore. Almost entirely pointless, too. Solid A/V quality, though.

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

The Expendables Twice. Saturday, and last night. I watched it again because I was so bored the first time around...and the second time too. I was expecting to fully love this movie, maybe I'll give it another shot down the road.

The Protector - Original Thai Version - Usually I like an extended cut, but the Thai version was AWFUL. I'm sure it has better meaning and connection for someone who would understand the culture better, but for myself it just disjointed the movie and made no sense. Unfortunatley I had my cousin watching it with me and he had no idea what was going on. He thought it was awful...so there goes Tony Jaa for him.
