Just watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button which I loved and For All Mankind which was looked much better than expected on Blu-ray.

<b>Whiteout</b>-Good, not great transfer & audio...horrible movie though
<b>RAN</b>-mixed emotions about the lionsgate transfer. Definitely an improvement over the Momentum UK BD disc but not at all what I was hoping for. Robin Hood & Mutiny on the bounty are over 60 years old and their HD transfers are stunning and easily two of the best discs I've seen period. RAN is 25 years old and the transfers to date have failed to really do this film justice. The Criterion disc is great but obviously not BD. The lionsgate disc is just ok.

My buddy and I just got through watching Black Dynamite. Hilarious movie, we were laughing all the way through it. The DVD Talker reviewer was just a playa hater.

Watched Triangle yesterday. Awesome mind**** movie. Best $14.99 blind-buy in years. DVD Talk review is what made me get it too. :)

Bullitt - Loved it, but can see where many would find it too slow for an 'action' film.
Breaker Morant - Always liked seeing Edward Woodward, :rip: Great film.
Flags of Our Fathers - Great sound design, didn't enjoy the story as much as I expected.

Duplicity & The Invention of Lying - both were from Netflix and both were crazy boring. I was really let down by the latter since I loved Ghost World...

Kagemusha. Great movie, but the film wasn't as impressive in HD as I had hoped. Very heavy grain and rather soft in some scenes. Still, a great movie is worth watching and it definitely was a step up from the DVD. I was expecting a bit too much from it.

Michael Hanek's Cache [Hidden].

I've seen it a few times already, but this was the first time on blu-ray, and holy fuck, does it look good.

Sharp as a tack and clear as a window - it was shot on HD cameras, so it's not very film like, but it's just about the cleanest 1080p image I've ever seen.

Oh, and the movie's easily one of my top-5 of the decade, and it gets better each time I see it.

The International. Not as bad as I thought it would be. The art museum shoot-out was pretty awesome.

Night At The Museum 2 Was tempted to pick this up from Target for $12.99 however after viewing this rental I doubt it's worth another look
