In spite of all the action happening this movie just didn't grab me as exciting. I guess I didn't connect very well with the characters except for Woody Harrelson.

The 4K didn't do much for me. It was a rental so I had no BR to compare it to, but so much of the movie takes place in darkened places it is tough to really let the resolution shine. The entire film had a muted tone. Not a good showpiece for 4K

Ocean's Eight

The BD looks good, and it's a well-produced film, but I just couldn't get into it. I can see where many would enjoy it, though.

Dan Curtis's "Dracula"

I don't know if I saw this on laserdisc, so it's either been 25 or 45 years more-or-less since I've last seen this film. This is the uncut "Theatrical" version and it looks good for the most part, -surprisingly so. It's a decent translation of the novel by Richard Matheson, though the budget limits it's scope and it's 90% 1970s TV-style interior exposition scenes. The film suffers from the same problem that all adaptations of "Dracula" do, -you're basically hitting the same bunch of plot-points with the only surprises being what little flourishes the film adds to change things up.

Now, if only we could get Frank Langella's "Dracula" with the original Theatrical color palette...

It had some laughs but then got tiresome.

Sad this is based on a true story since you have to be a real dork to play tag when you are grown up.

Eighth Grade...so well done and well executed. Both Josh Hamilton and Elsie Fisher didn't seem like they were acting. i felt like i was a docu almost, but went a way i was not expecting. really enjoyed this and the mall that was featured, especially when you saw the outside is my hometown. Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack, NY. Really good movie and so well done on every level.

Boring and a cheap Die Hard knockoff. How in the world did Neve Campbell get the role as his wife?

Has she done anything since the 90's?

I liked this back in 1990 until my taste in movies improved after seeing movies like the Godfather and Godfather II.

It was ok until he was in the hospital and everything after that was just meh.

That's eating, drinking and pissing blood. Anyways, we watched most of the 4K of Bram Stoker's Dracula last night before we crashed.

The Night Stalker
A great package, -the film looks quite good in HD for a '70s TV-Movie, and the "Bonus" features include a terrific commentary by Tim Lucas that brought up a few points I didn't notice originally. My memory of the film was that it was one of the first really physically violent portrayals of a vampire, with several scenes of him throwing people around the room, which is sort of commonplace today. The only fault of the HD is that it makes even more apparent every time Barry Atwater (as the vampire) is switched for stuntman Dick Ziker

The Night Strangler
I always remembered that I enjoyed "Strangler" just a little bit more than the original; I think I appreciated it's lighter touch and in-character humor at the time. Watching it the other day (and this version is extended by 12minutes), it seemed very padded and repetitive to me. I enjoyed it for what it was, but I was also a bit disappointed based on my expectations. The "Bonus" material isn't bad, but it's not quite as good as "Stalker"'s.
