The Last Samurai : I saw this a couple weeks back on DVD and loved it, so I ordered it on Blu. Watched it yesterday and loved it just as much as the first time, actually even more because the pq was so great.

Agreed. And I can't stand that dude who wasn't Paul Rudd. I don't know his name, he is one of those actor's that I have no clue why he is famous or popular.

Netflixed Marley & Me, never made it through the whole movie. Bored me near the point of insanity.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he is in a lot of movies. I have no clue why, he is about as entertaining as a potted plant.

Constantine

AQ was great, PQ was okay. I didn't think Keanu Reeves was half bad in this one, though the dialogue kinda sucked at times.

Casino Royale, followed 30 minutes later by Quantum of Solace.

Based on what you just said about Marley and Me I plan on never watching it. I thought it looked terrible but the good reviews made me consider giving it a chance. Now I hope to never watch it as I'm guessing your exactly right.

That, and I can't stand Sean William Scott either. So we have that in common as well. Paul Rudd is funny though. I didn't think Role Models looked particularly good.

The Dark Knight (Blu-Ray)

Still not crazy about the finale, but I love the film. Too good

To get an idea of how boring this film was, was it as mind numbingly boring as Lost In Translation?

Lost in Translation isn't boring IMHO. It's not a perfect film but I do consider it a very good one.

in regards to Marley & Me, I didn't find it boring, but I did thought it just went on and on, at two hours it was slow, the five year old I saw this with in the theatre, was so itchin' to leave once the movie ended.

Million Dollar Baby HD DVD - Man, Josh Z wasn't kidding about the audio issue in his review. I had to jack my receiver up quite a bit just to hear the damn thing.

I see, a little long for that type of film.
I try to watch everything at least once, so I may do so one day.

I had the worst trouble getting though that film, nothing happens, not bad really, just boring and slow.

I definitely wasn't knocking Rudd, I like him, I just thought Role Models was not even a little funny, & here & elsewhere there are people that love it. There is a scene with Paul Rudd in Wet Hot American Summer that I love so much. And I liked I Love You Man a lot.

I also like Lost in Translation, didn't find it boring at all.

Last Blu watched was Escape From Planet Of The Apes. It was absolutely jaw-droppingly gorgeous. All that is glorious about Blu-Ray.

Slumdog. Saw it in the theater and thought it looked better at home. Made me mad that I had to watch it with my hand on the volume control. Would have just let the loud parts stay loud if my infants weren't sleeping so close.

I just watched Bedtime Stories. Not a great Blind Buy... but a decent family flick. One I never intend to watch again. If I was six or had kids I guess it would be worth keeping but the film's not really all that good.

I had to IMDB Bedtime Stories, I have never heard of it.
I would literally rather have someone pee on me, than sit through a movie with Adam Sandler in it. And I'm deeply in love w/ Keri Russell, a shame she is in this.

College I'm not sure why I put this in my blockbuster queue and after watching it I really don't know why. Kind of like an Animal House but without the humor.

Really pedestrian. High school kids go to a weekend college visit, hook up with an abusive fraternity, mayhem ensues while they all try to get laid then they try to get even. There wasn't an original idea within 100 miles of that movie set.

Flyboys. Liked James Franco and Jean Reno in this one. Probably full of historical innaccuracies, but you don't see a whole lot of WWI films. The PQ was decent, especially for the explosions. AQ was awesome.

Let the Right One in (BD)
El Norte (BD)
Tell No One (BD)

All very excellent films. Great PQ/AQ

This was based on composite characters but had some reality thrown in there. There was no woman who he never saw again but the fliers were based on real people; the black boxer, the guy with the tiger, etc.

The Spirit and The Day The Earth Stood Still (remake). Both looked and sounded amazing.
