Samsung BD-P1500 BD Player with FREE Matrix Collection BD for $222 at Amazon

I was poking around Amazon today for that region-free LG and saw that you could get the Samsumg BD with a free Ultimate Collectors Matrix BD for only $222! The player alone is $299 at Bestbuy

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-BD-P15...3829050&sr=1-1

Edited to add: Apparently this player is not 2.0 compatible out of the box but a firmware update is available from Samsung...

This deal is also up on SD now too (or has been)

I posted it in the player thread. I'm very tempted.

Wow! Even though I'm not a fan of Samsung players...thats an amazing deal. Its like getting the player for $150 if you planned on getting Matrix. Man...tempting gift for the parents and I do have $100 in Amazon GCs....damn!

Please note that that free Matrix set DOES NOT include a hardcover book.

Circuit City has a similar deal, except the player is $249. For those who don't want to buy online...

$30 cheaper at Amazon, free shipping and maybe Tax Free (plus who knows how much longer CC will be in business for...)

Well, it's dead. Now it ships from Electronics Expo so you don't get the free Matrix. The deal apparently only works if you buy the player directly from Amazon and they must have sold out. Plus you are charged shipping.

I hesitated and lost. Oh well, I really didn't need it. But maybe it will come back if Amazon restocks in time.

Maybe it's going in and out of stock, I took it all the way to the checkout screen and decided against it. It was being shipped through Prime and deducted the Matrix cost, so the deal was working and fulfilled by Amazon when I posted that.

It's back! Now "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com." Price is about $7.00 more than yesterday but still a great deal. This time I just bought it right away. Who know how long it'll last?

Very hard to pass this one up. I was going to buy the Matrix collection anyway, and to get a BD for a second room for $135 is a no brainer.

Apparently Samsung plans on lowering this player to $150 during Black Friday. So if you want it without The Matrix...you might want to wait a month or so.

Bingo! $ 150.00 for a good unit is my magic number. All my other equipment is Samsung so this should fit right in. Given the disastrous September consumer spending figures that have been coming in, it probably won't be the only BD player in the $150 -200 price range we'll see on BF.

With that being $150...the Insignia brand players will probably be $129 or less. I wish we could get the S350 at that price.

Shows "Ships from and sold by 6ave" for $224.06 for me as it did when I made my last post. It'll probably be in and out for a while.

It's alive again and at $1.22 less than I paid a few hours ago.

Do they just throw dice to decide prices and everything else?
