For those interested:

Some BDs have region coding so you will need to make sure they work in American players. For those with he LG 200, a quick fix will make it play any region. Just imported Night of the Living Dead and while it says Region B I will make sure when it arrives. Over 200 to chose from.

Is that version of Terminator 2 the same as the Blu-ray released here, or is it the one with multiple cuts?
Edit: Nevermind, checked the user reviews and apparently this is a barebones disc of the theatrical cut.

They has some Sony titles not available over here (I Still Know what you did last Summer, Maid in Manhattan, Best Friends wedding, Mona Lisa smile) etc. Worked out to be 3 titles for $48 shipped for me. Just make sure to check what region they are since not all titles will play in American BD players. Really loving my LG 200 now.

Looks like they added some new titles. I ordered last week. Picked up All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and 'Shrooms for around $60 shipped. There's some good movies that haven't been released yet in the USA.

Almost Famous is a good one to pick up since a release here isn't in sight.

The UK version of T2 is the extended cut only. It also has lossless audio and a better PQ than the USA version. No extras but I'm very happy with it. Total Recall is also part of the sale, and it is an A/V upgrade over the USA version as well (again, no extras). There are some good screen compares over at Dvdtimes.uk.Originally Posted by Suprmallet

Thanks for the info. I got Almost Famous, T2 and Total Recall. The extended editions of AF and T2 = Originally Posted by Copper Blue

. Lossless audio for all =
. I really don't care about a lack of extras since I have them on standard DVDs and I don't really care if the extras aren't in HD.About $16 each shipped is not spectacular but it's pretty good. I'd have been interested in Cliffhanger but I see it's coded Region B only.

I already had the new Total Recall, so I went with Almost Famous, T2 and Cinderella Man, which is supposed to have better PQ and AQ than the HD DVD.
Would have liked to get Air Force One but it was out of stock and fulfilled by the third party that doesn't take VAT off.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane arrives on an all-regions single-layer Blu-ray Disc from Optimum. The 1080p, AVC-encoded transfer, which presents the film in its theatrical 2.39:1 aspect ratio, is fairly eye-pleasing but is marred by some flaws which may be a result of its independent origins. Detail is generally passable but not stellar, with a mild amount of unsightly ringing occasionally becoming distracting. The grain is reproduced well and gets quite heavy at times, which makes the high bit rate, rarely dropping below 30 Mbps, a godsend. The film alternates between extremely contrasty day scenes with blown-out highlights and murky night scenes, but this is clearly a stylistic choice on the part of the director.

Double-check and make sure they are Region locked. Some may say they are locked to a certain region but are in fact region free.Originally Posted by PopcornTreeCt

Here is a great website to check out:

I'll probably grab an S550 soon (for DTS MA internal decoding and 2.0), but I am loving my region free LG 200.

The UK T2 is clearly better than the current domestic BD, though I'm not sure if it will beat Lionsgate's eventual double dip of this movie.

Which cut, exactly, is on the T2 disc? The one I want is the director's cut, which is longer than the theatrical cut but does not have the extra scenes that are in the version that is an easter egg on the Ultimate Edition.

Well, I went ahead and got the non-DNR version of Pan's Labyrinth, the version of Starship Troopers without the audio sync problem, and Cinderella Man. WRT Cinderella Man, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets the DNR treatment like other Universal catalog titles.

No the UK version is the barebones version of the Extended cut, and it has better image quality than the USA release.Originally Posted by Suprmallet

I got my order of the new T2, Almost Famous and Cinderella Man within a week. I tell ya, getting stuff from Amazon UK is typically faster than getting stuff from DeepDiscount who ship from the same state I live in, but I digress.
I also picked up the new UK release of Basic Instinct. It's not part of the sale, but it was relatively inexpensive for an import, and it's got lossless plus reportedly better PQ. Still waiting to watch it (my HT is offline).

I know what you're getting at but it's not really a fair comparison. You are paying one company for shipping and not the other. Of course the one that is free is going to take longer, regardless of where it is coming from.Originally Posted by bunkaroo

Well, when I'm 20 miles from the warehouse DD ships from, 10 business days is a little excessive even for free shipping I think. I typically only use the site now when I can't find something in their retail store during the 20% sale.Originally Posted by Michael Corvin

Tuesday I got Almost Famous, T2 and Total Recall, all play in Region A. Very fast shipping.

DD must be holding on to those even after they send the shipping notice. When I've shipped boxes using media mail to secondspin.com it has usually taken 1 day to go about 80 miles up the freeway. Once it took 2 days.Originally Posted by bunkaroo

Just got Night of the Living Dead in...looks amazing. I compared it to the new Genius/Weinstein release and the BD blows it out of the water!
It is Region B locked for sure.
