Blu-ray release announcements - Part III

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
Count me in on both X-Men and X-Men 2! That is AWESOME! And right in time for my birthday too!
I knew they would release them in time for Wolverine. It would be badass if they also had free movie tickets included with them. That would round out these two releases perfectly. I never did care for X-men: The Last Stand though (in fact, I detested it) so It's great that these are coming out separately. I just recently sold my X-Men 1.5 DVD as well so this is perfect timing. Now I just need to get rid of my X2 DVD.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
Nice! I was hoping they weren't going to pull some Warner crap and bundle up the trilogy and only let that be our purchase option...not because I hate X3, but because I already have it....
Let's just hope they keep all the DVD special features, and I'll be buying!

This will be at least the third dip for me on the first two X-Men movies, although I'll still keep steelbooks for both. I will probably wait until they show up in a B2G1 deal or other sale to pick them up. Nevertheless, I'm excited for them!

Nice! I can retire the dvd and D-Theater versions of X-men 1/2.
Here is an announcement I have been waiting for. I enjoyed the movie and have heard the actual show is even better.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Clone Wars
LucasFilm today revealed plans to release the first four episodes of Star Wars The Clone Wars: Season One exclusively on DVD in late March.
In the same announcement, LucasFilm confirmed a multi-disc box set is in the works for the complete first season of the series that will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. That set is expected to arrive later this year, most likely timed to coincide with the debut of season two on The Cartoon Network.
For the season one DVD and Blu-ray Disc set, LucasFilm is currently producing a number of bonus features that include "explorations of the behind-the-scenes creation of the hit series."

Up for April 21st, Clouzot's The Wages of Fear.
No word if there's any additional BDs to be released in April as well.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring Jet Li's 'The One' and John Carpenter's 'Ghosts of Mars' to Blu-ray on March 31st. Video for both of these titles will be presented in 2.40:1 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. As will all Sony titles, both will be BD-Live enabled, allowing users to download additional content using a BD-Live Blu-ray Disc player.
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced its latest "catch up" title for Blu-ray, confirming a late-March release for 'Things We Lost in the Fire.'
Originally released on HD DVD, the critically-maligned Benecio del Toro-Halle Berry drama will receive its belated Blu-ray release on March 24.
There are no tech or supplement details as of yet, but a package comparable to the previous HD DVD and DVD versions is likely. We'll keep you posted.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.99.
