All "Iron Man" Blu-rays recalled; shouldn't affect release date

A friend of mine who works in the DVD industry tells me that all of the Blu-ray Discs of "Iron Man" have been recalled because of a mastering error than affects playback on a lot of machines. He said the studio is cranking up production in order to meet street date, but it's going to be close.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Yes, on Digital Bits and on DVD Talk in the Ironman blu-ray thread!

Today at work we got an email stating the same. We should be getting replacements before Tuesday. I ended up buying one of the so-called bad copies just to see if it's true. I have three Blu-ray players to test it.

They even added a new SKU in the system for the new version.

I asked in the other thread, and I'll ask here as well:

How is this going to affect the special BD Target release? Can anyone find out?
