Stranger than Fiction seems like an odd title to be double-dipping on already. Good movie and all, but do we need another hi-def release at this point?

I'm going to have to say NO! I just purchased Stranger Than Fiction on Blu-Ray, and Sony is NOT getting my money for a double dip on this one. From all intents the report have shown that even though Blu-Ray is the only game in town, there still not a good enough growth and Sony wants to double-dip the people who purchase Blu-Ray? No!

Thanks for posting the news Bill. I am very much looking forward to Besson's film, it should look terrific in 1080p.

Yeah, the last release of besson's Joan of Arc was the crappy DVD release way back around 2001 or so that only had some dumb fluff promo. Would be nice to see some good extras added to this.

Yup, you're right. Read the title to past. Still no double-dip on Stranger Than Fiction...great film, but I see no reason to re-buy what is already a decent package.

If it WAS a double dip on Stranger Than Fiction, it'd be nice if they had a commentary track this time. And a not awful cover. I haven't bought it yet, so I'll take a double-dip or a price drop either way.

Why double-dip Stranger Than Fiction? The first release looked and sounded great and it's not like the movie was a big hit.

I'm definitely picking up The Messenger. Hopefully Leon will follow soon.

Not a price drop, but a special edition. La Femme Nikita on the same day, too.

Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. La Femme Nikita and Joan of Arc on one day but not Leon? DAMN IT.

The only way to make up for this, Sony, is that we'd better get Subway and The Big Blue on the same day as we get Leon, so I can hock my Luc Besson box set.

Good. Was waiting for Joan of Arc in high-def. Stranger Than Fiction was actually enjoyable and may pick it up at the lower price point.
