Just looking at the special features, the feature length documentary doesn't come on the Blu-Ray or am I reading that wrong?

It would appear that the feature-length documentary is exclusive to the 3-DVD set. :( |
I wish they would have found a way to include the trailers for both films on blu-ray.
|
It's too bad The X Files: I Want To Believe isn't a freebie with the first film. That's what I would have been willing to pay for it.
I will gladly purchase the first X Files film on Blu-ray though. Should be awesome! |

I'll get Fight The Future. I'll wait for a price drop on I Want To Believe.

Is it that bad? I was never a huge X-Files fan but enjoyed most of the seasons plus the first film...is the second just a radical change?

As for it being that bad? No, not really... it's just nothing special, an average film at best, and nothing better than a weak episode of the X Files. I really felt letdown by it. I don't think Chris Carter delivered the kind of film the X Files needed at this point in time (and to think he wanted to make a third movie with the alien invasion storyline still). YMMV though, of course. Some people thought it was really good. |

I'm very happy they are porting over "The Making of 'The X-Files'" featurette, and the original audio commentary with Chris Carter and Rob Bowman. I'm also happy with the new bonus features that are being included. |

If you saw the series finale, it left the characters at a very specific place and left a very major plot element from the series unresolved. So the series finale was open-ended in order to facilitate a future movie. Unfortunately, it wasn't this movie. |

Happy with the specs, price and even cover art.... good job Fox. |
For those interested in the two pack I just preorder it from dvdempire for $47.38, I thought the price was pretty good for a fox boxed set.

This is exciting news!! Thanks for sharing OP.
|
hell yes im picking this up !!
|
$30 for both and I might consider. Otherwise... no thanks.
|
Sigh, $45 isn't a bad deal for both. But I still may hold off. After all, the price on the individual discs can only go down with time.
|
I will get these... eventually.

Man, that FtF transfer was terrible. I was hoping it would've been remastered for the COMPLETE series box set, but no such luck.
Here's hoping it looks better on BR. |
