Yes, they did tinker with it, to give more detail. I read a review, I don't remember which site it was, that showed one example where a reflection of Belle was added to the window, where in previous releases, it was not there. It doesn't distract from the movie, so, I don't mind it. This release looks and sounds amazing! I absolutely recommend it!

Is Dumbo still on track to come out next year? Cause ordering the UK version is very tempting.

wasn't the UK version Region B locked? (it obviousily wouldn't matter though if you're region free)

I thought there was a DVD/Bluray trailer on the Beauty and The Beast bluray.

Has anyone here tried to remove the stickers (not price tags, but the ones from Disney) that are on all the slipcovers? I was hoping to find out if they tend to come off easily or if I should just leave them alone. I've messed up too many slipcovers in the past trying to get these things off.

If you are talking about BatB, mine came off just fine. But then I take my time with the process.

^^I had no trouble with a sticker on The Princess and the Frog. Disney seems to use stickers that come off easily, in my experience.

Just an FYI - I just got a Disney Movie Rewards email that there will be a $10 coupon for upgrading the VHS or DVD for the Fantasia BD release.

I didn't realize that all the bonus materials are not being transferred over.
What's going to be missing?

This would really suck because I already sold my original DVD set

^ never ever do that animefan, I've learned that even some of the worthy older DVD commentary tracks are sometimes not ported over to the bluray.

Only Pixar BR's are region locked, all of the Disney animated ones are not.

No, the UK release of Dumbo is definitely region B locked.

I have been careful lately, but Disney have always treated their animated film with such high quality release that I didn't think twice or even read all the special features because I just automatically thought Disney will put all the special features.
Why isn't Fantasia getting the attention it deserves?
Was the sale bad on the previous DVD edition?

We should have a list of Blu-ray that is missing extras from the DVD edition on the front page of this forum permanently, so we can determine which DVD to keep.
(Im too lazy to look for it or create it myself - plus I don't even know how or what is the criteria on making the sticky post)

At one point, Disney said most the Anthology extras would be offered via BD-Live.

Fantasia on blu-ray that was one of my first DVD purchases back in the day, I bought a transparent foil cover (usually used for textbooks) and wrapped my Anthology box so that the cardboard wouldn't get damaged I always tried to keep it upfront next to the Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 books and till today is one of the highlights when I glance at my bookshelves.

why this release doesn't feature Cine-Explore Mode is beyond me - what a supreme waste.

I hate BD-live supplements - I want to physically own the extras. As I remember the DVD of E.T had the deleted scenes only viewable by internet connection, or something like that, only the laserdisc edition actually featured the deleted scene/alternate ending

I really hate the BD-Live too. Went in once, and never revisited again. I like to physically own the extras too. It is really annoying.

Now I don't know if I want to buy it on the release date now. I might just wait until new SE comes out like 5 years from now. Im such a sucker for Disney film that I know I'm going to buy it again if they release another version, and I hate double dipping. I even hate that I have to upgrade my 1000+ DVDs.

Who am I kidding, I know I'm going to buy it(the video upgrade seems too good to wait), but DAMN, this sucks!!!

That's pretty nuts, why would they do it only for Dumbo but not for any of their other releases? (besides the Pixar ones)
