Blu Ray Steelbooks

Great posts on here, love the picture ones from howwon.
I have taken the step and purchased a Blu Ray player and picked up the Sweeney Todd and 10,000 BC steelbooks which are currently the only ones available in the UK.
Liked the look of some of those German Blu Rays posted by howwon, will have to take a visit to Amazon.de.

Congrats on your new purchase.

I use a PS3 as a Blu-ray player, but I am saving for the Sony BDPS550 which is planned for release in New Zealand mid October.

Is 10,000 BC truly as bad as people say? There must be some good things about it surely. May purchase later.

Just like to know where you bought Sweeney Todd from. I ordered mine from HMV.com after you kindly posted the link. Its on the way.

Hi PS3 Kiwi, i picked up my copy in a local HMV store as I wanted to get the 2 uk steelbooks to try on my new player.
The 10,000 steelbook is very nice and I have the UK Tin edition and the film is ok.
The steelbook from the UK is nowhere near as good as the US one though, just that when it is available I have to get the UK version for my collection.

I already posted this in the steelbook message but I'll post it again for those worried about FS selling out of Iron man steelbooks.

Just a note to Canadians who order on the Futureshop website. The steelbooks seem to sell out fast but this is a bit of a deception. They put them online in groups of 30 to 50 at a time and don't put more until they sell out. So don't freak out if you can't get your Iron Man steelbook cause there are none left. It will be restocked up until the DVD is released. Also, if they go out of stock on Friday or the weekend they won't be restocked until Monday. This is how I got my Terminator steelbook. Had to wait till Monday for them to restock then got one of the last 2 online.

First post has been updated with the addition of all of the titles from France.

I have also changed the listing format, to reflect titles by Country and not by region code. There are other posters in the HD thread that are better qualified to determine correct region coding.

Are the bond films confirmed?

Will the boxed sets contain Steelbook packaging?

It's a shame they didn't utilize the original poster art.

Rumor has it that they are going to a Best Buy exclusive. There has been no confirmation yet though.

I noticed yesterday that bestbuy.com has 2 SKUs for each of the individual Bond Blu-rays. Both are priced at $29.99. One SKU for each movie does not have a photo of the item yet. Could possibly be one SKU for the regular version and one for a steelbook version.

Hi, I'm collecting steelbook edition of HiDef movies and I actually own:

HD-DVD Steelbook
-T2 (German)

Blu-Ray Steelbook
- I am Legend
- Ironman

Pre-ordered Blu-Ray Steelbook
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Krystal Skull

I try to find HiDef Steelbooks. (for a decent price)
Actually my most wanted titles are:
-Sweeney Todd
-10,000 B.C.
-Mind Strip
-Pan's Labyrinth

I will get all the Can/US release so I hope the James Bond movies will get a Steelbook case.

Anyone knows the best place to get some of those imports?

Thanks.

Check the dvd exchange forum because that is where howwon and incredipinoy are putting together the steelbook programs. If I'm not mistaken, you still have time to get in on Indy 4.

Yep, and incredipinoy has also set up a thread dedicated to ordering The Dark Knight Steelbook BD from Amazon.de.
