I was at the Huntsville AL Costco yesterday, and they had the remastered STOS seasons 1 and 2 out. Several of the season 1 sets did not have the plastic shrink wrap, so those may be returns.

Seasons 1 and 2 were $56 each (okay, 55.99 or something like that).

Season 1 is the combo HD-DVD/DVD set, Season 2 is DVD only. Seemed like a decent out the door price, so I picked up season 1.

My set seems to play just fine so far. I have mixed feelings about what was done with the new effects, but the set looks very good in HD.

Downside is that the packaging is awful. I've already got fingerprints on the DVD side of disc one.

Unless Amazon is showing different prices for different people, you're both wrong. It's about 24 pounds shipped to the U.S., or just over $45.

$56 is still a pretty decent price compared to some other places. For someone without HD DVD capabilities and that never will have them would you buy this season 1 set or wait for a SD DVD only set (like season 2 or the upcoming season 3)?
