I haven't seen the blu-ray yet but I agree it should've been an option. And I expect it to be pretty noticeable at home.

Watching it on IMAX was easily noticeable. It's hard not to tell when all of a sudden the top and bottom are filled in with the giagnto picture, but I can imagine that varying depending on where you sit and the size of the screen.

It's Nolan's movie.....so its his choice. We don't have a say.

If someone doesn't like the idea, then they can choose with their wallet.

Personally, Im glad they are including the version he wants us to see. It tells me that WB is listening to director's when preparing these for disc.

This is why I'm getting both the DVD and the BD, so both versions are available.

I don't look down on DVD so much that I would consider the standard theatrical-only version inferior or something.

who's going to be getting the Bat-pod BD edition? I'm debating on whether or not it is going to be worth it...

I'd take a normal case with slipcover over a McDonalds looking toy that holds my $30 discs anyday.

I think it looks a lot more cool then a Mcdonalds looking toy. If it was separate and didn't hold the discs in a crummy looking case I would get it, but I don't like the way the discs are held.

Thats my thought too. I really just wish it was just a statute and then came with the normal case.

The Iron Man case is pretty cool but the batpod itself looks like cheap plastic IMO.

If you want a better Batpod thingie, I'd suggest this:

It's $95, and can be found at http://www.noblecollection.com

Stuff like that makes more sense. Buy the regular version of a movie instead of one with a cheap accessory for a lot more than it's worth and put the money you saved to something nice, if you really want something to display.

I'm not sure. I remember reading that some company might be putting them out in the U.S using the same molds. The Tumbler looks great but is way too much for my budget right now.

This is true. I think Slideshow is releasing the Batman and Joker figures but mass produced. Which means, the paint job and overall quality won't be as good as the original Hot Toys release(limited and better quality).

So there's some rumblings over in the Bargains forum about an additional cover at Circuit City -- one that uses the Why So Serious poster. that might be the case for the Blu-ray as well.

I checked on their website and so far it's only exclusive to the dvd release. Here's to hoping though.

Yes. DC Direct is importing all figures and vehicles except for the "Begins Suit" Batman.
