Nothing: A piss-poor week.

Nothing but I'll rent The Counterfeiters & may buy that if I like it. I'm very happy with my import Starship Troopers, so glad I didn't wait till now to get it just for some extras that I've already got on the 2-disc SD.

Starship Troopers. I was thinking about the boxset but then reviews for the third one came out - sounds just as bad as part 2 so I'm going with just the first.

Edit: Amazon now says that the BD has been discontinued. What gives?

I'd like to see some reviews for the transfer on Lonesome Dove (and whether or not it was intended to be widescreen), but that'd be the only potential thing this time around.

Actually, it arrived in the mail yesterday, so I already have it.

Lonesome Dove screenshots look vastly better than the existing SD but I'm sure it was never intended to be widescreen. When this was shot nobody had even considered HDTV and I certainly hope nobody believes an 8 hour movie was intended.

Not perfect by any stretch but vastly better PQ than the existing. Unfortunately, not OAR.

Probably Starship Troopers eventually as it will be one that will be pretty cheap to get at the end of the year I suspect.

Maybe Robin Hood eventually if it's cheap enough, I wasn't impressed with the quality of the season 1 dvds.

Nothing this week. I have the old SE of Starship Troopers. I haven't seen that movie in years. It would look cool in HD but I wouldn't watch it often enough to warrant an upgrade.

Got Starship Troopers in the mail on Saturday, going to give it a spin tonight.

I have the UK disc of Andrea Bocelli Vivere and it looks and sounds amazing. I guess it also helps that I've seen him live 3 times and have something to compare it to. That being said I didn't know there was a U.S. release scheduled for it.

Counterfeiters and Wild China. Pass on the Starship Troopers set - already have the UK import of the first one.
