Carrie(76), Amityville Horror(79), and Young Frankenstein coming 10/07/08

Both coming from MGM on 10/07/08 with msrp of $39.98 so look forward to some $28 "bargains".

Got this from my distributor.

Kocheese99 07-23-08 09:17 PM

Young Frankenstein coming on 10/07/08

This one i'm most excited about besides the price, msrp is still $39.98 but i might get sucked into preordering this. From my distributor.

Hammer99 07-23-08 09:31 PM

Carrie shower scene in full-frame would be a nice bonus feature.

Hammer99 07-23-08 09:32 PM

Excellent, I'm in! Blazing Saddles/Young Frankenstein HD double feature! Give me The Producers & The Twelve Chairs next, and I'm done!

kefrank 07-23-08 10:23 PM

Young Frank! I've passed up on the DVD many times at extremely low prices and now my patience will pay off.

I'll look forward to the specs and features.

Gizmo 07-23-08 10:48 PM

Finally Amityville Horror.

But at that price...they can keep it.

bunkaroo 07-23-08 11:09 PM

Oh man can't wait to get Young Frankenstein. I hope they don't DNR it to death.

I would love to get History of the World Pt. 1 and Spaceballs as well.

tylergfoster 07-24-08 12:54 AM

I like me some Carrie and Young Frankenstein.

I don't like me some Fox MSRP.

Mr. Cinema 07-24-08 05:43 AM

I'll take all 3. Hopefully Sony releases the Amityville Horror remake on the same day.

Vipper II 07-24-08 05:50 AM

Carrie needs to be seriously remastered. The DVDs have been absolutely horrible.

I'd seriously like to know what justification Fox is using for their extremely high MSRPs on catalog titles when EVERY OTHER studio comes in ten bucks cheaper.

Odd. I thought Young Frankenstein was a FOX property... they handled the DVD releases, not MGM. :hscratch:

I'm definitely getting Carrie and Amityville Horror. Will probably blind buy Young Frankenstein because I've heard good things and I like Gene Wilder.

I'd say this is a mistake, it IS a Fox film.

I am SOOO going to own this!

Zen Peckinpah 07-26-08 12:34 AM

Awesome! I never picked up the 16:9 release, so this will be mine for sure. Those BD exclusives sound bitchin'.

Willh51 07-26-08 12:51 AM

Can we expect more lackluster transfers?

Here's hoping they won't be, but since it's Fox...
