We're working on it. I've been exchanging emails with Titan to make sure we get it. We've actually got quite a strong gay review staff... Just added 2 more writers to it.

I'm opening this call for writers back up. The number of Adult Blu-Ray releases has increased pretty dramatically. So it's time to add more writers to our crew.

So do you get a test one and do a review to see if you pass the mustard? (I promise there isn't a pun there.)

It's just another futile attempt to drive traffic...that's all.

There is a trail period, yes. We like to see at least 1 sample from people to see their writing style.

Not at all. I REALLY hate to burst your bubble but a minuscule amount of traffic comes from DVD Talk or the DVD Talk forum. We are widely linked out there and so my posts here aren't designed around getting more traffic, they're honestly to extend an opportunity to the readers of the forum.

Had I really been pimping XC I'd be posting our Pirates 2 DVD Review everywhere as it's the single highest trafficked thing on our site from the moment we posted it.

Right, they're to extend an opportunity to readers. That's why you mention XC in nearly every single post you make, and why you've bumped this topic from the dead no less than 3 times. How silly of me to think otherwise.

Given that X Critic has a huge overlap in readers and writers from DVD Talk, I don't see why you have such a problem with Geoff mentioning it. There's nothing forcing you to read his posts or go to his site. Live and let live.

Think what you want. Your opinion is of very little importance to me. It's clear you've made your mind up about me, so why don't you just put me on ignore and move on. The wonderful thing about a forum is, if you're not interested in the thread you don't have to read it.

Well, G! was the main editor here for some time, and he runs XC, so I think he can do whatever he wants.

He does have a legitimate need for reviewers. Certain genres of formats don't get the coverage they need, due to lack of interest (such as gay), or whatever. I did it for a short while, and I loved doing it. However my wife wasn't digging it, so I stopped. I can tell you from personal experience, there's a queue of titles waiting to be reviewed you wouldn't believe. So G! isn't coming on here to say 'oh hey, yeah, uhm, masked attempt to boost the site by offering a reviewing job'... it's genuinely needed.

Besides, the name of the thread itself is 'Seeking Adult Blu-Ray Reviewers'. There's no hidden message in there, it's self explanatory. If you're not looking to do what the title says, then stay out. It's not like he's trolling the forum in numerous threads giving everyone a heads up. There's a thread dedicated to it, which you've breached the non-spoken but accepted of the nets code of conduct of, to come into a thread to troll. There was no need to come in here and start an argument about this with anyone... especially when you have no idea what you're talking about.
