Bought the SD Anniversary Edition for $4 at Best Buy last year, however, this was one I've been waiting for. I'm sure the audio on this will be top-notch. Underrated movie, Kilmer completely turns into Jim Morrison and I love Crispin Glover as Andy Warhol.
And I second the Glengarry Glen Ross love. Even if the audio would be dialogue-driven, it doesn't look too hot upconverted and would buy it.

Hope the PQ along with AQ on The Doors will be exceptional, though I do notice the track record of BD releases fm Lionsgate have been quite good so far.
"Belly" is also getting released at the same time. I think I'm too old to even consider watching this movie which stars DMX and was quite popular during its theatrical release as well. From DVD Empire, I actually thought they made a typo and were releasing "Bully."

I made a blind buy of the recent dvd edition and sold it soon after, just a warning for anyone thinking of doing the same. I really disliked the film, which surprised me, as I am an Oliver Stone fan.
My thoughts on the movie aside, I hope they fix the print, especially the nasty snag that happened at one point during the movie, before the Blu.

This is one I've been hoping for, as well. However, I too am crossing my fingers that Lions Gate will finally do this one right -- all of the various DVD iterations of The Doors have been pretty lousy, picture-quality-wise. We shall see!

Re: The Doors 8/12
There was recently a release outside of the US titled The Final Cut which is actually 2 minutes shorter than the theatrical. Anyone have additional info on this?

Is it the UK version, because as far as I know, that's the same final cut as the U.S.. I think the only difference is that the UK edition has an extra disc with a documentary that the U.S. set does not have.

The 4-disc UK version is the way to go. Awesome set. It includes the new transfer on Blu-ray also which the US doesn't. The US version gives U the old non Final Cut Blu-ray.
