Prisonbreak Season 1 $39.85 Amazon Gold Box

Today only. List is $100, so this is 60% off. Never watched it so I don't know if it is a good blind buy or not. Anyone?

IMO, Season 1 is the highpoint of the show. It's been downhill from there. But, I wouldn't exactly call the first season "great television" either. If you can get over the leaps of logic, it's fun.

I watched it when it aired. It is certainly escapist fun, but as far as plunking down any money for it? Skip it. I would say it would have almost zero replay value. Take that money, get yourself a Netflix account and rent it and several other Blu-rays for the same amount of money!

I have a BB account. Hadn't thought of renting it. Don't know why.

Good price for those who want to own, but I owned the SD version and sold it. The show sucks you in, but I agree with rfduncan: it has zero replay value.

I agree also about the replay value. I purchased it on Blu-ray for $37.00 from Amazon w/ 10% discount and only took 2 days to view all 24 episodes. I have no interest in viewing it again. I am glad I did not sit through 24 weeks to see the ending of season one. Better to spend the money and take a weekend to view it when you don't have much going on. What I am thinking about doing is canceling my DirecTV and just buying seasons on DVD and I would still save money.
