sweet action. i'll be getting this for sure, though i hope they include the theatrical cut. i also have mixed feelings about the cover art. i kind of wish they would have stuck with a minor variation of the original U.S. one-sheet, rather than an all-new photoshop job.

What are the differences in the directors cut vs the theatrical?

Looks good, but the cover art isn't very "dark" . Nonetheless, I'll probably get this.

well, the ad says the director's cut is "never-before-seen" so i don't think anyone knows for sure yet. imdb doesn't mention it under alternate versions, although they do list the running time for the director's cut as being 15 minutes longer than the theatrical.

They had better include both cuts on this, or it's "no sale" for me.

Glad the rumors turned out to be true. I hope the Ebert commentary is on there.

It should. Fox, Image Entertainment, and New Line all have contractual agreements to include DTS HD MA on all releases.

Someone always has to complain about something.

This honestly brought a tear to my eye. It's movies like this that made me buy into the HD formats in the first place.

Considering the theatrical cut included that hideous narration at the beginning, which was never intended to be there in the first place (spoiling the entire story ahead of time), I don't think it's that big of a deal if only the director's original version is preserved.

Of course I'd prefer both versions too (maybe they could do a theatrical cut minus that prologue), but if the narration is still there I'd have no interest in ever watching the theatrical cut again.
