Alas, I doubt our fond pie maker will receive such kind rewards.

Yeah, it was filmed only a few days ago. Lionsgate has the rights to releasing S2 on DVD so maybe they financed it or the Show runners did.

Agreed. I may not even purchase it if it's DVD only. I can't imagine the show in SD. It's such a beautiful show, the HD is almost another character.

One of the finest DVDs I've purchased this year - and IMO the best television show I've seen since The Sopranos - is Lionsgate's "MAD MEN: SEASON ONE" BD. I think I purchased that for about $21 in the DDD sale, and not only is the show great with a phenomenal HD transfer, but the extras are among the best I've ever seen. Gazillions of commentaries - sometimes multiple ones for a single episode - most of which are interesting and entertaining and some just flat-out excellent, plus a number of other fascinating features about the show, its milieu, and historical impact. Easily one of the finest BDs I own.

When is Season Two coming out????

Most season sets (of running shows) get released around when the next season starts, to help promote the new episodes. So, look for it this summer.

Ay yi yi.... July!?!

I don't get AMC in hidef, so I've been holding out (no Season 2 spoilers please!).

Thanks for the date! I hope the second season package (not to mention the second season itself) is as amazing as the first... and as economically priced!

It's now up for pre-ordering at Amazon.

Heres some info from TDB:

Those of you into genre TV will be pleased to learn that Warner and the BBC are currently planning the DVD and Blu-ray release of Torchwood: Season 3 in July. Beyond that, Warner is working on Chuck: Season 2, Fringe: Season 1 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 2 for release on both DVD and Blu-ray sometime in the third quarter (likely August).
Umm...Pushing Daisies? With it being canceled (Terminator and Chuck still on the air and getting full seasons) I'm going to be uber pissed if Warner does not release the second and final season on Blu-ray.

Nice news on Fringe and Torchwood.

S3 will not be airing (on the same night too!!) until the spring, so a July timeframe for the release is very quick! Plus the price should be very cheap if it's just a disc or two (only 5 episodes).

I couldn't make it past episode 4 of Fringe, but I'm glad to see more TV shows making their debut on Blu.

Could not agree more! Just superb! Great writing, acting and the visuals are sumptuous! I own apx 300 BD's and this is easily in my top 10 picture quality as well.

I hope the delay in an announcement of Pushing Daisies would be due to some elaborate BD set as a send-off of the show. But I doubt it. Wishful thinking I guess.

Good to hear about Chuck though.

I just finished Mad Men: Season 1 BD. What a superb show! I really enjoyed it-- can't wait til S2 is out on BD.

Ha, I'd say that's very wishful thinking. No S2 BD means I sell off my S1. I'm not buying the second season on DVD, nor will I leave the series incomplete in my collection.

I wouldn't worry about Mad Men S2. It's a popular show and LG has been good about getting other shows like Weeds out on BD as well.
