For those of you who want to use your existing remotes for the PS3, this just in: The IR2 BT.
This solution comes in a palm-sized device that allows a universal remote's infrared signal to be converted into bluetooth, which is recognized by the PS3. The device promises to transmit "all 51 Sony Blu-ray remote codes including the PS button for Power On / Off." It operates off two AA batteries, or a mini-USB connector. http://ir2bt.com/ |
Yeah. This is a hot item! They're sold out, but expecting more. I have to admit, I was keeping this quiet myself because I wanted a better chance of receiving one. Currently the fledgling manufacturer doesn't have a method of pre-order, so you basically just have to keep checking back on the site.
